This is perfect. I bought it right before Easter. I was going to a brunch & was taking a sausage/cheese casserole. I wanted to keep the casserole hot. The cold/hot pack is placed either in the freezer or the microwave. I placed it in the microwave for the specified time, put it in the bottom flap of the tote about 4 minutes before my casserole came out of the oven. When the casserole was done, I immediately placed the lid on top, put it in the tote & zipped it closed. The casserole stayed hot for the hour before the time we were eating. (I don't know how much longer it would have stayed hot). The tote is well made & transporting the casserole was extremely easy.
