Easy to install.
Mounted to my boat trailer right over the plate that the old one was bolted to works great, should have bought it last year.

So far, so good.
Have a 14 ft Aluminum boat, 10hp outboard. Orig. 2006 wheeled jack wrkd, but crank handle rotted out n internal gears shot. Looked at many replacements online and didn't wnt to take the chance on any of those jacks in the $20-40 range as reviews reflected poor build quality. This cost me $60 and so far it appears to be a fair price. Granted, i'll never come close to the max tongue weight, but i certainly do push this trailer around after unhitching from the Truck. The build is heavy all around. The entire area around the wheel as well. I swing my trailer bk n frth as i push from driveway to my yard whr i park the boat. Wheel is plastic, but appears thick enough to hold up. (I saved old plastic wheel jst in case, beat up but will still roll jst fine). Before first use, i made sure to pop off top cap and liberally lube gears with Johnson Tripple Guard Grease!! As well as the crank handle and wheel assembly. I will update if hv issues. Update; 4/17/21, All still good, no issues. UPDATE; 1/30/22. Finished out the 2021 season with 19 Trips out to Fish. No issues to report. Also, each day I go out, I crank the jack down and at end of day I crank almost all the way up( extended), to help rain flow to stern and out. I keep wheel on a rag as to avoid any possible flat spotting while awaiting next trip.

Mounting was a PITA.
The “New” design with the swivel bolt vs snap ring type swivel has a different design. When I say new, it’s been many years since I had to replace a Fulton boat trailer jack, so this design is new to me. There is absolutely no tolerance for a 4” Channel frame that is hot dipped galvanized. (Bolt holes too close together on swivel bracket and hardware). When tightening the threads, the rotating bolt ground through the galvanized coating and the turning threads walked the mounting hardware and bolt at an angle. Had to knock it back into position with a hammer ever couple seconds. There was not enough room for impact sockets, had to use a 3/8” thinwalled to get socket on bolt head. What used to be a quick and easy job turned into a long frustrating experience. Now, the quality of the jack will have to tell its own story over time. But, when it comes to ease of installation over the old design, the “Made In China” on the black plastic cap over the gears was staring me in the face the entire time and really shined bright during install. Way to go Fulton…all I’ve ever used since the early 90’s on my boat trailers. Please bring back the old swivel plate, or increase the mounting tolerance.

Good overall Quality
Everything was as expected and in good condition and was fairly easy to install except that I did not used the provided bracket but my previous Jack "U" shapes bolt which I found more convenient and aesthetically pleasing...Simple to lube the gear system but I still have the same worry over the screw itself which ended up corroding and jamming my previous jack (especially when exposed to salt water...). Too bad that there is no easy to grease the screw per say other than having to take the jack apart has seen on some videos...

Great trailer jack from a great company!
I had been using a trailer dolly to move around my 4 x 8 trailer. But I still had to lift the tongue onto the dolly hitch ball, and then lift it from the dolly to the truck ball. Which was a lot of back strain. This jack eliminated the need to use the dolly completely. Now I just use the crank to raise and lower the trailer tongue. And the large 6 inch wheel makes it incredibly easy to roll the trailer wherever I want it.And talk about service after the sale! I installed it incorrectly (I placed it too close to my bumper on the trailer tongue) where the top of the jack hit my bumper when going around a curve. It knocked off the plastic cap, which left the gears exposed to the weather.I contacted Fulton, told them it was my fault the cap popped off, and asked how I could get a replacement. I was expecting to pay for it, but not only did they respond promptly, they sent me 2 replacement caps free of charge! They were so nice, and a real pleasure to deal with. So, I am extremely pleased with the jack itself (and so is my back!) and the company that manufactures it.I highly recommend this item.
