The best product I wish I didn't need to use
Worked great under our tablecloth for the holidays. I've been putting off getting a table pad for our beautiful "new" (ok, I think it's about 8 years old now, but that just tells you how long I've been fighting it) dining room table because of principle. You go and buy this beautiful looking table and then you are supposed to cover it up all the time just to protect it? Then why did you worry about buying a pretty one? I really don't know. It seems incredibly unfair to me. However... I gave in. We wanted to be able to have folks play board games on the table and not worry if someone spills something at a meal, so I bought the pad. Cutting it was easy and it did a very nice job of protecting through the holidays. Now I'm leaving it on under an "everyday" tablecloth (which I also resent having to have) so the board gaming can continue. All I'm saying is "old tables didn't get covered with a tablecloth and pad all the time to keep them safe"... To which my mother replies... "They did if you were rich and had nice ones. We just didn't." Oh. Well, maybe.

Protected Table from Tabletop Christmas Tree
We love Christmas, but age catches up to everyone, and we are no longer equal to wrestling a seven foot tree into a stand and stringling lights on it. Sad, sad. And so this year, we decided to purchase a table top tree. But where was the table? We realized we either had to go out and buy a table just for the tree--and then find a place to store it for the other 11 months of the year--or set the tree on our coffee table. I looked at the metal stand, and at my nice wood table. Hmmm. This pad is just what I was looking for! It is reasonably priced, and I cut it to the size of our coffee table with an ordinary pair of scissors. There is enough left over for lots of other surfaces in the house, should I get that ambitious. But in the meantime, I threw an inexpensive cloth over the pad, put up the tree, put on the tree skirt, and we had a gorgeous Christmas tree with no harm done to the table. A win all 'round.

Don't set your table without it
I don't always use tablecloths, but when I do, I always use a pad under them, partly because I like the look and feel and partly because they protect the table from spills. These pads are excellent. They can be cut to fit whatever size you need, so I have them in all my table sizes (without any leaves, and with one, two, and three leaves in place.)They are brushed flannel on the underside, so as not to scratch the table. The top is vinyl. At a recent dinner party, someone spilled a full glass of red wine onto my white tablecloth. The tablecloth was wrecked but this pad protected my table completely.

Was perfect for me and priced right
I agree with some reviewers regarding the deep creases/wrinkles embedded in the cover. However I was able to resolve them adequately by ironing the cover from the flannel side while using the steam burst from the iron. The creases came right out. No, it’s not the thickest of covers but it certainly does what I expected it to do; that is, provide a layer of protection between my tablecloth and the table. Was perfect for me and priced right! I would recommend it.

Works great for my purposes
I use this for putting on my carpet in the bathroom when dying my hair. I had another one for a long time that finally got too many spots on it, so I ordered this one. I liked the other one better because my feet didn't stick to the vinyl as much as they do with this one. But I only have to stand on it for a short time and it sure saves my from worrying about drips on my carpet.

This pad is nice for the money
This pad is nice for the money. Instead of cutting it to fit, my wife decided to let it drape over the edges of the table. She put a huge lace doily on top of it and the look is very nice. The felt on the back helps with keep it in place. There's wrinkles in it, but after a day so and laying some heavy books on the creases, they flatten out nicely. The white is bright white, which my wife likes. Overall, it's a nice pad, which can suffice as a tablecloth if need be.

Oblong table pad
Purchased this pad as a replacement for one we purchased many years ago. The pad received was an out of shape oblong. No big deal as we had to cut it to fit our dining room table. It was folded many times and is much thinner than the pad we replaced. It was easy to cut. We are unable to remove the creases from the pad, having tried the hair dryer and warm/hot towels. Just cannot remove them. This pad will give some protection from spills but be careful what you may drop on it as it is thin. Will have to live with the creases and just be careful where we place a glass where it may tip over. If you are looking for a replacement pad try to find this on a roll at one of the larger department stores.

PERFECT FOR 70" ROUND TABLE
This is thinner than a couple of other pads-- Which is good - since the thicker version will not drape off the end of the table very well. Thicker pads on a smaller round (70 inch) table sort of stand out like a stiff petticoat under a dress. This is easy to cut, still protects the table with the soft side, and the top side is water & food proof vinyl plastic. I have used this pad for about 3 months with a 100% cotton table cloth over the top and it stays put. Table pads really do enhance the look of a nice tablecloth.
