Tastes like honey dew or cantaloupe. Never had the soda pop so I don't know if it is the same.

Packaged very nicely, but deceptively small. We wanted the same size you would get in a 7-11 in Tokyo. Pictured with american quarter on left and 100 yen on right.どんどぉ！
