They work, with some know-how
I successfully installed these channels for my undercabinet LED lighting. Overall, the product worked well for this purpose. However, there are several things which I had to learn along the way.1. As noted by many reviewers, it is easy to cut the channel with a regular hack saw. I ended up cutting it together with the "glass" which is a soft plastic. Aluminum is soft and is very easy to cut.2. The screws are a good length for 3/4" face frame of the cabinets. They might be a little too long for 1/2" cabinet bottom, one has to be careful.3. The height of the channel is just right for the reveal under the cabinet. When installed under the front side, they illuminate the under-cabinet space nicely and at the same time do not stick out, so you can see the light but do not see where it comes from.4. The mounting clips work in a little weird way. They are shaped at about 75-80 degree angle, so you spread them a little when you click the channel into the clip. They grab the channel by the edge, but there is no positively defined groove in the channel itself. When the channel clicks into the clips, it sits nice and tight. When it does not, it is hard to figure out visually what went wrong.5. A minor deformation of shape of the channel (e.g., if it is twisted slightly) could lead to a problem with locking into the clips. I had this issue with one of the lights. I moved clips, changed clips, nothing worked. I ended up removing the LED strip from that channel and moving it to the other one. After that, the problem was resolved instantly.6. End caps do not have holes for wires, you need to drill them as needed. With this, if I had to do it again, I would cut channel to length, would install the clips, would make sure that the channel locks into the clips easily and firmly, and only after that would install the LED strip into the channel. The advantages of using this channel are three. First, Al channel acts as a heat sink for the LEDs. LEDs do not generate a lot of heat, but they do generate some, and proper cooling is good for them, good for the glue which keeps them in place, and good for the cabinet. Secondly, plastic opaque cover diffuses the light (fewer reflections from polished surfaces) and protects LEDs from steam and grease common in the kitchen. Thirdly, angle channel directs light from the front edge of the wall cabinet to where it is needed, i.e., under the cabinet space.I ended up installing LEDs from mid brightness range, 4.5 Watts / foot. I found that this provides good level of illumination, not too bright, but not too dim either, from one line of LEDs under the cabinets.Overall, it is not a sophisticated high end product, but it is adequate for the purpose. Some of the aluminum channels might not work, try them before installing LEDs. Clips work but better defined locking mechanism would be desirable. If one wishes, it is possible to drill holes through the channels and mount them with screws prior to installation of LEDs.And yes, for a new cabinets installation, it is much easier to install channels before mounting cabinets on the walls. It is so much easier to install them and route the wires while the cabinets are on the floor, upside down.

Well-machined, high strength, quality diffuser, but mounting clips are a joke. Use adhesive instead.
Fantastic channels that are machined well, with effective diffusers, but the mounting clips for these channels are an absolute joke. You're much better off with clamps and an adhesive unless you're forced to make the installation temporary. For what is essentially $7.50 per channel piece, I would have expected far better mounting options than the channels that were provided. In my case, I used Gorilla Glue underneath my handrail runner in a stairwell, and the result turned out very well. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat (but discard the clips immediately).

Helps to prevent a strip show
I have recently discovered the wonder that is LED strip lighting, and have been using it quite a bit. The only real complaints about using it "bare" are when an installation can't completely hide the strip, or when using really bright 5050's that can leave a projected "dotted" effect on an illuminated surface. This channel helps solve both those issues. It provides a neat, clean look to the strip, and the frosted plastic cover serves to diffuse the LEDs. Most LED strips are backed with adhesive, so installation onto these is quick and easy. Both aluminum channel and in-place diffuser can be cut easily with a hack saw, although there is no great way to join multiple pieces to make a longer one. I also have had some frustration with the mounting clips; they worked reasonably well in one project, but I finally resorted to double-sided foam tape for another.All-in-all, a nice addition to class-up an LED strip installation.

This comes with no directions though it's pretty self explanatory
I read reviews before buying this and saw a bunch of issues about mounting clips but thought maybe they aren't following directions. This comes with no directions though it's pretty self explanatory. The clips are a joke I eventually picked up some gorilla double sided mounting tape which worked awesome. They could have kept the hardware and took a few bucks off the price but overall I'm satisfied.

DIY Project turned out great!
These things are amazing! I did a project using the aluminum channels and it turned out great. These are ELFA shelving from the Container Store. Used some strong wood glue to hold them on. This better than screws since aluminum bends and lets the light through.

Excellent product - stylish and highly functional
Was thinking about using aluminum L stock and bouncing the LEDs off the wall - it would be considerably less expensive, but also far less efficient for lighting. This product enables direct illumination while eliminating the "burn your eyes out effect" of 7020 strip (or any other strip for that matter.) Very high quality and highly professional look if you take the time to install it in a professional manner.

diffusion not at all great. still can see spots.
the diffusion quality did not diffuse the spots with a 5050 led strip. the screws were too large and difficult to set into wood. it was very difficult to clip the plastic diffusers to the holding metal.. you had to push very hard and listen for the clicks when it was set. would not buy again. also the holes for the end caps didnt do anything since the led strip and the wifi connection were not circular but flat.

Avoid this unless you are comfortable doing heavy DIY work.
The mounting brackets are trash. They loosly clip to the outside however when put under the pressure of the mounting screw they no longer fit the bar most of the time. I will likely have to drill my own holes in the aluminum because I don't see an easy alternative.
