Super Fabric Adhesive 2oz

This product is amazing. We just got new fabric on our canvas awning replacing it for new after 10 or so years. The awning was not up more than a week and we noticed daylight through the fabric, there was about 1square inch of the fabric missing so my husband made a patch from the old material and glued it to the underneath of the new fabric. We can only surmise that a seagull had pecked a hole in it as our house is on the water. It has held through summer heat, rain and wind. Will update after the winter.

Wasn't very good. Messy application, was rubbery when dry. Used on a expensive jacket and ruined it. Won't use again.

I bought this product after reading a review where a reviewer had some technical clothing that came apart at the sealed seams. I also had a similar issue, but it wasn’t due to an errant hot water wash cycle, but just from normal wear and tear. Use this stuff sparingly because a little goes a long way. There are two caps, one is used to puncture the tube, and the other is a longer tube cap as seen from the pictures. I didn’t use the extended cap at all. I just squeezed out a very small amount and used a tooth pick to spread the glue into the fabric joints. It helps to treat the glue like paint and tape up areas that you wouldn’t want to have paint “splatter”. Another important tip is to clamp down the glued areas and wait for the glue to dry. For my “clamps” I had used a few neodymium magnets and inserted the seams in between them. I had also used a small amount of aluminum foil to cover the magnets just to keep the glue off of the magnets, just in case the glue had seeped out of the fabric joints. If used sparingly, then there shouldn’t be too much worry about the glue seepage, but just as a precaution, scraping small amounts of foil off is much easier than trying to separate a magnet that has been glued to the fabric. Clamping down the glue will create an extra strong bond. I believe those that found this glue lacking, must not have clamped down the glued areas, because the glue works great and is not at all noticeable if applied correctly.

I was hesitant at first because I'm scared that it will leave a harsh surface on the applied area. However, after one overnight of "curing" the residue seems to soften up and perfectly holds the bond together. The best thing is that it easily comes of the hand and does not to stick to paper which I used to clean up the work. I patched up 4 pieces of clothing in less than minutes and the holes looked like it was never there. 2 polos and 2 t shirts.
