Used for Brazilian Jiujitsu
Great product. Easy to use. Supports my fingers when sparring and I have used it on my wrist too. It's really strong and doesn't come off.I'm glad it came as a set so I can have one at home, one in bjj bag and one in my gym bag

I don’t think it’ll be as useful as I anticipated
It’s been several decades since I last did any judo but I was intrigued by this tape as it says it is also good for climbing and my son has recently got into bouldering and I thought this might be something he could use.You get 5 rolls of tape in teh pack and there’s a lot of tape on each roll, so the pack will likely last you a good long time. The tape does have a very good adhesive that fixes quickly to the skin (and to itself if you do a wraparound) and stays put. I can certainly see how it would be useful if you want to protect a weaker finger by strapping it to the next. The listing says that the tape can be torn ‘easily’, which I disagree with. At first, when I applied some pieces of tape as a tryout, I really pulled and twisted and could not get the tape to break. I was thinking that it would be a bit inconvenient if you had to add a penknife or pair of scissors to your kitbag, just to cut this tape. Afterwards, I tried again and, using both hands and really pulling/twisting with all my strength, I did get the tape to tear - but it wasn’t ‘easily’ and, if you were trying to wrap one of your own fingers, you certainly wouldn’t be able to tear the tape with the other hand, you’d need to ask a colleague or friend to use both hands to do it. So also a bit inconvenient.I don’t think this tape will be as useful for my son bouldering as I’d hoped because with the nice roughened surface of the tape, I thought it would help to give grip, in the way using chalk dust does. It doesn’t. I’d assumed part of it’s use was to improve that finger grip on the jacket of your judo opponent and so would help with the climbing, but that doesn’t seem to be part of it’s function. If anything, it’s slightly less grippy that bare skin. I’m fully prepared to accept this is from my misunderstanding of the nature of the product, rather than a failing of the product itself. So, his is good strong tape to protect and support maybe where you have strains or minor injuries on your fingers or toes but I found it pretty difficult to tear and it doesn’t enhance your grip in any way.

Good, but could be better
Pretty strong tape and initial adhesion is good. It does not however stay on for a full training session. I find it needs replacing/adding more during a 2 hour grappling/throwing session.Good for the price though.

Horrible
Novelty wears off very quickly once you realise the atrocious quality of life that comes with this tape. It has a flimsy inner cardboard tube that makes removing tape impossible if it gets just slightly deformed. The tape easily loses adhesion minutes after applying onto anything meaning get used to sitting out of rolls just to reapply tape. As well as the tape being unadjustable the moment it touches your skin or other tape surface. All of these compound to just giving up and accept to getting your fingers mashed for today. The pros is you get to have a cool scramble design that people might give you a head nod for representing irish products. Whereas you could also get a disapproving head shake whenever someone realises you've wasted money on this.

Bought for my husband for BJJ, he loves it, will definitely buy more when he’s gone through these rolls!
