Does not hold up tablet
Suction is not functional for intended purpose & impacted by heat/humidity. We got this for our camper trailer & attempted to use multiple times but it doesnt adhere to our windows or any other surface. Bascially a waste of $$. Overall poor quality product & doesn't hold up our Apple tablet. Very disappointed.

You're only as good as your weakest point :(
I'm really having a hard time giving this a rating. Here's why:I selected the tablet holder because it could be mounted sideways, upside down etc. This would be the ideal product for video conferencing my Saturday morning cooking class! The fact that the suction cup could be tightened for a more secure hold was especially appealing, (up out of the way of my food and nothing falling in). The seller's image appeared to be a metal product, and quality and sturdiness was a plus. I checked out where the seller was delivering from and it was listed as coming from the US. That was good because it wouldn't take as long as an item from China (which in my experience are notoriously inconsistent for fast shipping).I ordered the holder April 12, 2020 and it was scheduled to arrive on May 8, 2020. (Understandable, as retailers were having trouble fulfilling orders due to the various challenges during COVID-19). I was informed almost immediately after ordering, by the seller, that the item would be late as there were none in the US and the item would have to be shipped from the factory in China (insert eyeroll emoji). The item eventually arrived on May 20, 2020. Not the greatest in speed, but not bad all things considered.I opened the package, only to discover that the item was white plastic, albeit a hard plastic that seemed sturdy enough. I was excited to use it for my next cooking class that coming Saturday. Even though it was plastic the product has some great features: the ability to adjust each fulcrum points independently and to tighten and loosen these areas with locking mechanisms that varied from a levered turn mechanisms, to knob handles and even to one that locks with an Allen key. The product grips the iPad securely. The centre arm portion is actually metal and the remaining parts are hard plastic.I tested it out and found that the the locking mechanism for the iPad had to be fully tightened, as leaving a small amount of give in the tightness caused the whole unit to fall from its suction.I have used it for 3 Saturdays in a row and was able to use it for one other time for some video content for my followers. So 4 uses in total. Each time I used it I have chosen to return it to it's original packaging for storage, as it was not practical to leave it mounted in the kitchen setting.Today, June 13, 2020 (my 4th Saturday class since the arrival of the holder), I went to set up the tablet holder and as I tightened the unit into place, the tightening wheel snapped the bolt end of the suction piece right off!So here's my dilemma with the rating. Until now, I would likely have given this product a 4 star rating. It functioned really well and held my iPad in place even when upside down, even though it didnt seem to be exactly as shown. It was adjustable. It seemed sturdy. Some parts were metal. It was relatively compact. It gripped the iPad securely. HOWEVER, it broke on the 5th use. ULTIMATELY, A PRODUCT IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS WEAKEST LINK. So, on that note it get's the lowest rating.Note: At the time of review, I had not yet requested a refund. I will report on customer service when/if there is more to report.
