Smart Caregiver Cordless Monitor with Cordless 24in x 36in Gray Floor Mat - Get to Them so They Don't Walk Alone!

I purchased this mat because I have an elderly dementia relative at home. Sometimes she gets up on her own to walk around. She has fallen recently. At night when it is time to sleep; she tries to go outside or to the basement. When she steps on the mat, the alarm sounds. I also love the fact that, I can move the alarm box anywhere in my house because it uses batteries. I like the fact that you can change the volume as well.

My father is an extreme fall risk after hip surgery. He is cognizant of his limitations during the day, but at night there is confusion and he has tried getting up alone several times. With this mat I am alerted with a doorbell-like chime as soon as he sits up and touches the mat with his feet. Combined with a super low hospital bed, he is safe and I can rest soundly and not check on him constantly. Best of all it's completely wireless. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

I wish the volume was louder. This is used to monitor a parent when they are sleeping at night and the care taker is sleeping in another bedroom who has hear loss.

These mats are a live saver for our family. As mom gets up frequently at night, the mat alarms as soon as she puts pressure on her feet. This allows us to be at her bedside before she takes her first step.

This alert mat has been a Godsend for our team caring for my 87 year old mom with Alzheimers. But we have had to purchase a new one every year because it pretty much stops working after a year. (Yes, we tried changing the batteries numerous times first)Now the one we bought just this past October has stopped working. Ugh. Well sometimes the alert sounds, sometimes it doesn't. My mom is a MAJOR fall risk. A fall can be fatal for her as she is on blood thinners. Too late to return or exchange so I'm submitting this review instead, pissed off that I have to rush to buy yet another one after only 4 months.Haven't found anyone else who makes these, but if I find a more reliable alert mat I'll be the first to ditch this one cause spending $200 a year, or twice a year is NOT okay. But I have no choice.. Have to buy another one because we cannot risk my mom falling.

I like that the alert monitor has different sound levels. Sometimes I don't even have to have the alert monitor on when it's near me. It automatically gives a clicking sound when the cordless floor mat is stepped on and it will not wake up my husband.

I use this for my 88-year-old mother-in-law. When she stands up, and she’s not supposed to, the alarm goes off. It’s completely eliminated her falls.
