A few things -- clove is very subtle so don't expect a huge flavor. It doesn't last super long, but that's how most sugar gums are (big league chew anyone? juicy fruit?) That's the other problem, though -- probably not great for your teeth. It's also unclear whether there is any clove in it (per the ingredients list), but it does leave your mouth with a slight numbness, which IS what clove is supposed to do (it's still used in dentistry for this and antimicrobial properties). I still like it a lot -- something different for sure.

Dry, brittle, hard, bummer. Must be old, not fresh. It snaps when you bend it. Tried to chew it and it crunched. Strong flavor. Was bundled in a rubber band.

Listen, I know this is not a popular gum. Its nostalgic and I love it. However, I do believe this is on the older side of produced, hence the -1 star. When taking off the paper to chew, the paper stuck to the gum to the point of almost ripping. Otherwise, yes, tastes like the clove i remember :)

Yes this is an old fashioned product. My dad sold it in his grocery store. The clove flavor is not intense, nothing like if you were smelling a bottle of clove oil. If I have a dry mouth or sore throat, it is soothing. It's not overly sweet like most chewing gum. I keep a pack in my car if I feel like I would like to brush my teeth, but cannot right then.

I love this gum tastes like it did years ago 😊
