wonderfull, addicting, with slight glitch.
When I got this from my local library, I played it on a windows 7 pc. it ran pretty well! Untill one day, when I was playing it I had to do a hard shut down and when I turned it on again, the screen resolution was set WAY down and everything was HUGE. soon after, the computer crashed! Eventually,I had figured out that because the disc was exposed to so many computers that may have had viruses, it may have passed one of them on to my comp. So I started with a clean slate and bought this disk on amazon, and played it on a extremely old, (im talkin like 13 years here people!!!) windows xp.This may stun and suprise you.IT WORKED EVEN BETTER THAN THE WINDOWS 7 PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well, the game has some parts that are kinda graphic, I admit it. Some of the only problems with the performance were that my quicktime needed updating, but that was it. I love that you can actually work with the animals and do surgery. this next time will be my 3rd time finishing it. (if my desktop windows xp dosent blow up cause its so old...) don't worry, u just need to get the hang of it! NOTE: I can answer any questions you have by just commenting to this review.one of the hardest things to do in sugeries, (in my opinion at least)is to shave an area of the fur. you have to pay close attention to the area marked, "surgical site" or something like that.and in conclusion, oops I dont think i spelled that right.... (I HATE SPELLING....)ANYWAY.....this game is fun, chalenging, educational, (I HATE SPELLING....) and addicting. throw away any bad reviews and toss any other vet software, cause trust me, you'll never go back!wcrtf(warrior cats rule the forest):3

It says PC/Mac, but that is wrong
The title says PC/Mac, which I assumed meant I can play it on either. Upon inserting into my Mac, it told me it's only for PC's (look at the picture, top right, only says PC, nothing about Macs)I then tried to use my BIL's old pc laptop, which didn't have all of the programs needed to allow me to run this game.We still haven't gotten to actually play it because we left the CD at his house. I will assume once we actually get it up & running it will be fun, and it was a great price, but it was meant for my Mac and we may not have access to a PC often.

Really fun and educational
Pet Pals New leash on life is a great PC game. I got it for Christmas and it is really great. You can treat the animals in a 3D vet area with X rays, Blood tests, and even figure the problem. From a kitten who ate string, to a Rabbit with slobbers, to a dog who got hit by a car and even treat emergency cases! Like a dog who got bloat, to a sick kitten and more. This has even more optains as you can rehome the stray animals that come in. You can socilize them, groom and feed and even train them! There are many dog breeds, like the Doberman, the Alaskan Malamute, the Beagle, the Terrier and others. It is really a fun game but it should be taken seriously if you want to complete it.

Great game!
I got this game for my 14 year old daughter it was lovely she found it very challenging and informative. It seemed like it was for younger kids which it was but there's different modes to set it on..and you have to make your own decisions so i would definitely recommend it for young vets in the making.Watching her play it is even fun. Theres no super gross scenes..theres emergency cases and it teaches you the different diseases and problems and about the instruments your using on the patient. Really cool game.

disappointed
The game was fun however there aren't a lot of levels in the game. I was very disappointed it ended so quickly.

Seven year old daughter loves this game
My daughter has been looking for a vet game for a couple years now. This one is a winner so far. She is able to play the game with minimal help. She does require assistance with some of the quizzes but they are quite informational. Who knew cats don't meow at other cats only humans? We haven't had any issues with the software freezing and seems to be age appropriate. For the price, you can't beat it.
