Mice chewed up the rear surround speaker wires in my attic, so I had to replace the wires. It's an old Bose surround system, so the speaker wires connect as a unit to the subwoofer. I had to run new wires through the attic and then splice them to the old wires once they got down to the living space. Tons o' Fun! I can't solder and have found in the past that simply twisting wires together and covering with electrical tape, or using wire nuts, allows the possibility for wires to come loose. These close over the stripped wire with a satisfying "snap" and you're good to go.

Affordable and works good for DIY jobseekers

I am using these for wiring crossover networks for speaker systems. These connectors form a tight reliable connection that resists vibration that could loosen a screw connection while providing the flexibility to easily modify connections after assembly without having to unsolder connections. Not having to apply heat from solder is also a bonus when connecting capacitors and inductors as i do. I like the assortment of included port sizes . I will definitly buy these again.

I am wiring 2 outbuildings on my property. I thought these connectors would be better than wire nuts, I was wrong. I have had to go back on almost every junction to re-do the connectors. I gave up after the 4th failure. I am replacing all of these connectors, and going back to wire nuts. I know what I am doing, I have been doing my own wiring for 40+ years. I am running all 12 gauge wire. I connect, I do the tug test, I wrap electrical tape around each connector to hopefully insure that a tab doesn’t open while I am carefully folding my connections in to the box, but I am not feeling confident with all of these failures. I don’t like how the wires pull away from this brand of connector. I should have done more research and bought the Wagu brand. This has doubled the time it should have taken for this project. What bothers me the most, is I don’t trust this product for something as important as high voltage. I would always be worried if I left them installed.

I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like these things. They're very easy to use and they hold onto wires very well.

Loved how easy it is to hook up the wires. Down side is that the wires come off waaay to easy if slightly pulled on accident. I thought they be like how speakers have it where you need to realize the tab to fully release the wire. Don't recommend.
