V3 Ampère Outdoor/Indoor Stainless Steel Vertical Stream Collection Wall Lamp

THE GOOD-It's a beautiful light that is attractive and functional for a houses' exterior. It cast light up and down and also outward. THE BAD- I had bought a dozen of these at Costco three years ago and found that I had to modify the mounting plates as they did not fit conventional U.S.A. electrical boxes. Once done (although not easy/drilling and filing) they are fine. THE UGLY !!!!!!!! I just bought one through Amazon for $89 and found a previous price sticker of $23 on it. Yes, I said $23. Costco had sold them for $30. There are a lot of GREEDY sellers tripling the price for profit. It leaves a bad taste in me about doing buying with Amazon.

Can't believe we found this light... Needed one for an exterior reno to match 12 others on the house, put up by prior owner around 2013. Sealed light, so no bugs enter. Wish we could get more!

These are high quality outdoor fixture that were a great value when I brought them although they have creeped up in price since I originally purchased them, they are still a good valve. I use them with 12 volt E27 LED bulbs (2 - 3 watt bulbs per fixture) on my low voltage lighting system and they light the front of my garage quite nicely throughout the night.

simply I describe it as excellent. Prior to this order I bought over 20 of them in costco clearout at 10 dollars each. I installed them outdoor in a shopping strip and so far there is no sign of rust whatsoever. Rain water has leaked only in one of them but that is probably to do with a damaged seal that caused one of the light bulbs burn out.

I bought two of these lights and I'm very pleased. They're quite large, more well-made than I'd expected for the price. They look best with a soft glow light, and not bright/white. Be careful when you open the package, as I was less so and misplaced a small part, which I luckily found in the end (must've flown out upon opening).

Why do lighting fixtures cost so much? I mean, really, what are they? A little metal, plastic and some wires. This is a no frills light that works great. Really throws some light with two bulbs and the peek-a-boo slits in the front. Looks fine on my mid century modern home. Great, cheap light.

I have purchased four of these units now. 1 set from Costco and smithy from Amazon. The aesthetic of the cylinder lighting is great, however, there's just one problem. The caps (top and bottom) are coated with a plastic non-durable material. The elements cause the caps to corrode thus making the design flawd. One reviewer indicated to use silicon to line the exterior of the caps between the glass which I did. The silver portion on the exterior of the caps are now peeling. I suggest that if you buy these to use silicone as well as apply a small coat clear fingernail polish or polyurethane.

Unfortunately the two disk shaped pieces that covers the top and bottom of the light is not stainless steel (I'm guessing its aluminum). It hasn't been 3 months and the finish is already corroding. It would of been nice if it was all stainless steel (then I would of given it 5 stars like others).
