Boomerang Two-step Soft-touch Corkscrew, Black

The Boomerang 2-Step Corkscrew has become an indispensable part of my bar tool kit. I'm on my third one in 13 years—not because they’ve worn out or broken, but simply because I’ve misplaced them. That’s how much I rely on it. The built-in foil cutter glides effortlessly, making wine service much faster during busy shifts. I purchased this as a result of all the good reviews and I was not disappointed. It feels sturdy and strongly made and the built-in foil cutter works like a dream. It is so unbelievably easy to remove the cork from the wine bottle with this little gem. Now i'll admit, i'm not the wine lover in the family, my wife is so I got her this as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. Ever since she started using it her comments are always; This is better than any corkscrew I have ever owned, or, The screw goes straight in with ease and doesn't tear up the cork like the others, or, The cork pulls out so easy, and she just loves how easy and effortlessly the foil cutter works and the whole corkscrew in general. She knows how fun and easy this is to use so she lets me open her wine sometimes so I can have fun too. We both look so ridiculous just standing around each other with smiles on our faces watching each other operate this corkscrew. My wife said this is one of the best gifts I ever got her. If you're thinking about purchasing this corkscrew then do it,,,,you won't be sorry.

Love this wine opener. Love to cleanly cut the foil and it has a two step torque of the cork out lol

The foil cutter is amazing but the actual part to open up the wine is flimsy.

I love corkscrews and like to collect them and use them all interchangeably. I purchased this corkscrew because of the design of the foil cutter which works exceptionally well and better than I expected. It is faster and more efficient than any other corkscrew with a knife like foil cutter. I initially did not give this 5 stars, because I did not believe this was a true 2 stage opener. No matter how hard I tried to position the corkscrew to enter the cork I could not get the 1st (shorter) stage to engage the top of the wine bottle. I now know I was mistaken and did not use corkscrew the way it was meant to be used. There is a feature of this corkscrew that allows the 1st stage of the lever to fully engage the top edge of the bottle (see video above). Once the corkscrew is inserted into the cork if you slide"and hold" the lever towards the cork where it attaches to the handle there is a spring mechanism that allows the lever to move back appox 1/2" into the handle positioning the bottom edge of the 1st stage of the lever firmly onto the top edge of the wine bottle. By holding this in place with your left hand and operating the handle with your right you can now pull the cork out of the bottle part way allowing the the bottom edge of the lever to easily remove the remainder of the cork out of the bottle. The fact that it passes TSA scrutiny (from another review) is another MAJOR plus. This is now MY FAVORITE CORKSCREW!!!

I am a wine rep. The boomerang wine bottle opener helps me quickly cut around the foil and then uncork the bottles. It is a good quality and quite durable even after 100 uses.

I so much prefer the knife design on this one. Not only is it quicker, it produces a perfectly cut foil cap that is very gratifying.
