First, I ordered the same ramp as pictured, bi-fold, tan. The "carpeting" is actually rather like marine non-slip matting. It's nice and not too scratchy, but definitely gives good grip. The rubber "grippers" underneath don't look like much, but are surprisingly efficient. Although the ramp appears a bit narrow, it is actually fine. For reference, my dog is a 55lb mutt; she is very smart and a bit stubborn. I did as another suggested and let her investigate it while it was flat on the living room floor. She was very hesitant last night. Today, I set it up at the side slider door of my minivan. Using sliced hot dog as the motivating treat, and telling her "ramp" (and tapping on it with the hot dog slice), she eventually caught on and walked the ramp up. I'll add that I had her on a lead the whole time, so I could help guide her. Down the ramp was a harder trick, but she eventually decided it was ok & the hot dog was worth it. This whole process took us a total of 10 minutes and one hot dog. This ramp is solidly built. It would be nice if future models had some sort of handle (perhaps a nylon loop, riveted in?) but it's still quite manageable. I'm 5' tall & average weight for my size & find it easy to lift and unfold. I'm very pleased with this product!

This is a great ramp. Our lab is just two weeks shy of 15 years old and can’t jump in and out of our outback. This ramp is lightweight, small, and easy to open and close. I really like the surface they used on the ramp. It is very sturdy under our dog’s 65lb weight.The one thing that I recommend is measuring the length you need. This ramp is really too short even for our outback. The ramp is very, very steep. I’m not deducting any stars because that is on me.

There's a lot to like about this ramp. We got it for our 60+# husky who is now sightless. I was somewhat concerned that it might not be long enough and too narrow. After reading a number of reviews, I felt comfortable enough to give it a try. I love that it is light and easily foldable/manageable. And it fits quite nicely in the door openings of our SUV and Pick-up. After a couple of trials with our pooch, he figured out what was going on, and now easily moves up and down the ramp without hesitation. We do need to guide him a bit, but that's easy. Use inside to get up and down from sofas is a snap, and that's where the shorter length is a big asset.Materials used are solid, and the construction is quite satisfactory. I like that the carpet is Velcro'ed onto the ramp for easy removal for cleaning/replacing. The non-skid rubber on each end of the ramp is rather inadequate, so we cemented some non-skid material across both ends ---and that works much better.While our husky has no problem with the ramp angle, some dogs -- particularly large breeds -- might find it a bit steep. Or, if loading from the rear of the vehicle, that would be very steep. The longer model would be a better selection.

I chose this ramp because of its price, size, and reviews. Some reviews mentioned that it does work with side doors, while others mentioned that it doesn't. I took a chance but unfortunately, it does not work for my car. It is relatively well made, though it is not as stable as I'd want it to be for my 75 pound dog. I tried to use it with my sofa, but I definitely have to hold it down and would be nervous about him climbing up and down unless someone was right next to him. As you can see from the photos, the doors of a Camry do not open enough for the ramp to fit. The width seemed to be fine for my dog (when using with the sofa).Owners of bigger dogs, beware: The box says it can hold dogs up to 200 pounds, but the instructions inside say it is fit for dogs only up to 150lbs.Disappointed and frustrated it is so difficult to find reasonably priced stairs or ramps for sedans, but others may find this suits their needs if they have an SUV or doors that open wider.

Best investment ever. I actually wanted to buy this a month ago immediately after my dog had a tplo. But Amazon could not deliver during the immediate postoperative period. If your large dog is having a TPLO. I highly advise you to obtain this prior to surgery to get your dog in and out of your car. I put this on the frame of my back seat of the car dog. It is very sturdy and is just the right height that makes it easy for my husky to get in and out of my small sedan. I can apply it with one arm while holding my dog with the other. I knew this would be perfect. The lip of this device is made to easily adjust to any car frame. Don't go get expensive ramps. A little advice try to train your dog to use ramp prior to surgery. I found a used one on Amazon that met my needs. Got for around 30 dollars and it is perfect in every way.

I love these ramps. I just purchased 3 of them to use for my two older Dashunds that are starting to show their age. The older one got it immediately and the other one is figuring it out with treats, another week and she’ll have it mastered! Now if I could just have it dispense the dog treats 🙃They are light weight but there is enough weight that it doesn’t feel like they will just bounce off the step.I did put a rug on the floor at the bottom of the two ramps that are on the tile floor to make sure the ramps didn’t slip while the dogs were on them. I did not feel it was necessary to do that for the ramp that’s on the wood floor.I recommend getting the ramps with the SupertraX. The dogs have no problem on it and it makes it so the ramp is not slippery in the least. It removes easily for cleaning. I just got the ramps so I have not actually needed to clean them but I did take one off just to see how easily it went back on.

Both my Chihuahuas have recently suffered from knee issues, with the bigger one having ruptured his cruciate ligament so no jumping or going up steps for him for some time. I've been looking to purchase a ramp for the back patio doors, to go over the back step, so we don't have to keep lifting him in and out of the house, which he hates. This ramp does the job perfectly and both dogs learned how to use it within 10 minutes. So now we have a decent length ramp (1mtr) which has a fairly low gradient, doesn't slip on usage, and gives my dogs some of their independence back.I have read some of the negative comments about this ramp, like the edges not being carpeted and just with slippy plastic, and not being able to use it to help dogs into the backs of cars. I'm not sure if the design has changed slightly or not, but while the ramp is not carpeted to the edges the edging plastics are not smooth and have a kind of a tread pattern embedded in it. Not sure if that's an improvement or not. And while I can see these could be an issue my dogs are only small so not had a problem with the plastic and I won't be using this with the car, so I can only judge it on what I'm using it for, which it does perfectly well.

I reviewed a number of ramps for my elderly dog on the internet and this seemed to be the best. I was impressed with the choice of lengths available as well as the choice of friction surface and the provision of a tether strap for added security. Having received the ramp, I feel that it has exceeded my expectations. It functions extremely well and is very sturdy. I am very satisfied with this item and would recommend it to anyone.

De plus une petite sangle est là pour la porter facilement. Le plastique est épais, solide. Le revêtement s'enlève et se remet facilement. Tout à fait anti-dérapant !La rampe est installée la journée sur une table basse en bois et du carrelage au sol, la nuit sur le rebord de mon lit avec un plancher. Elle ne glisse pas du tout.Que ce soit à l'extérieur ou à l'intérieur, on peut la placer partout.Ma chichi a vite comprit le fonctionnement ;)J'ai 2 autres chihuahuas qui vieillissent, cette rampe est un excellent investissement, je ne regrette pas du tout d'avoir choisi ce modèle !Je recommande à 100% !
