iBirdie Tetherball Ball and Rope as Soft as Volleyball

I bought for my community park, LOVE IT!! It’s so great to watch kids using it since day one! Seems to be holding up fine, even when I watched some kids kicking it...

I bought this leather ball with a rope tied to it for my son and our German Shepherd dog to play with when they go to the park. My dog loves playing fetch with a soccer ball and the nylon rope is heavy duty so it’s durable. The rope allows my son to either kick the ball or swing the ball while they play fetch. My dog loves this ball and gets excited every time he sees it.

The ball feels great. It is nice and soft. However, the rope was cheap and snapped where it is attached to the ball. I had the ball for only three months and it wasn't played with very often. The design of this ball does not allow you to reattach the string. The attachment is sewn underneath the cover. The only way to fix it would be to seam rip the ball, fix the rope, and then sew it back together. That's great if you like doing that sort of thing but I don't and won't. Very dissapointed. The string on my last ball lasted for years and easily reattach able. It just wasn't a soft ball. Which I could combine the two.

The rope is too soft it won’t hold a knot. It is a super long rope that needs to be shortened with a durable knot, which I was hoping it would already be sized to a standard tetherball stand.The ball is fine but I’m very disappointed with the rope because the kids can’t play without asking me to shorten it up and knot it as tight as possible.

The kids love their new tetherball. Ball is soft, and the rope is thick and should last a long time. Very happy with this purchase.

We decided to try this after our last ball broke. The last one was too hard, but this one is just right. The kids don't complain that their hands hurt. The string is strong. We found the carabineer that attached it would fall off, maybe it is just our tetherball pole. But we tied it in a different way and it has been just fine for months now. We leave the ball outside through any weather and there has been zero discoloration or weakening of the ball material. Overall, we are pleased.

The ball was soft. That was the only positive. The rope snapped completely off of the ball in less than a month. The ball was at the grandparents house and was rarely used. Very low quality product and broke immediately after the return period ended.

Very exciting to introduce my children to my favorite playground game as a kid. I used to spend my recess playing this in elementary school. It doesn't exist at schools any more. We had a big party of all my childhood friends and had a nostalgic tournament. I won.
