Dritz 790-9 Seams Great, 5/8-Inch x 10-Yards, White

This is the same review I gave for the black Seams Great: I typically use this to finish seam allowances that are not serged. I also use it to stabilize shoulder seams in lightweight fabrics and occasionally to provide extra support for serged seams on fabrics that ravel easily or are really stretchy. This product is light weight and does not add bulk. While it is very good for internal finishes, it is not meant to be an exterior trim.Also be aware that anything above a "synthetic" or "permanent press" setting on your iron may melt this on direct contact, so use a press cloth if your fabric requires a higher iron temperature. Don't hesitate to do test samples if you have never used this product before!

I had searched the store notion counters for Seams Great and was hoarding what I had left for special sewing projects. On the off chance, I decided to try Amazon and - OF COURSE - Amazon carries it. Seams Great is an excellent, no-bulk way to finish raw edges so they won't ravel. BTW in answer to one persons question, Seams great used to come in black, ivory, and white. :-)

this is an excellent product.I don't understand why it is not carried by the big chain stores.it's perfect to finish any seam with any fabric.I use it a lot to finish pants hems without the bulk of folding under 1/4"

I am so happy to find this product. I am sewing my daughter's wedding gown and t makes the perfect seam finish. Especially for a lace seam. I didnt think it was manufactured any longer. I purchased 5 packages just to make sure I have enough.

Seams Great was an excellent product before they sold it to Dritz. It still works I guess, but all the seams are on the right side of the tape instead of on the inside (the tape only curls one way). So, be aware--if you need to use this on long seams you mayl have to discard quite a bit, as I did, unless you don't care about that. Also, the edges of the tape aren't as clean-cut as on the ecru roll I still have from the old company, although that probably won't show and it definitely won't ravel.I only bought this brand because I didn't have time to wait for different product from another supplier. Never again!

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Its very hard to find in stores. I love to finish edges of fabric with it. I used to it in black also many years ago but have been unable to find recently.

I don't have a seger and need away to finish edges of some fabrics. This product doesn't add bulk.

Not at all what I expected. Seam binding as I've always known it is more like an opaque ribbon material. This is a very fine see through mesh-like material. Very stretchy. The description gave absolutely no clue that it had these properties or that it was not like a traditional seam binding. It is useless for the purpose I wanted. Return shipping not worth sending back. Be careful what you buy sight unseen!
