Tootsie Roll Vanilla Flavored Midgees, 12 oz Bags in a BlackTie Box (Pack of 3)

I never took to the original Chocolate Tootsie Rolls - the cocoa taste seemed a little thin.So when a colleague put a bowl of the mixed fruit midgees out one Thanksgiving, I reluctantly tried them and was hooked. My favorite, without, question are the Vanilla flavored midgees. They are smooth, luscious, French vanilla flavored chewy candy. The chew is like taffy, but smoother - doesn't get stuck in your teeth.I was glad to find out that these special edition packages make it out every other year or so. I missed them during the holiday season in 2013 and am glad that the vendor (Black Tie Mercantile) had stocked up on them. My midgees were manufactured in November 2013 and as per the Tootsie Roll website are good for 2 years from date of manufacture. Black Tie Mercantile has stored these well and all midgees arrived, as expected, soft. The price ~$17 was also reasonable. These vanilla tootsie rolls are a very tasty snack and a nice alternative to all chocolate. I actually like to combine eating a vanilla and chocolate simultaneously! I don’t order them very often since I think they’re kind of expensive.

We at work LOVE the vanilla tootsie rolls, and they of course are hard to find-So finding them in black tie was a real treat good value and the tootsie rolls were so fresh no one could believe they were ever sold like that! and the shipping was immediate.

My husband loves vanilla tootsie rolls, and he said these are top notch! I got these are stocking stuffers for him and I will be getting more.

I originally purchased these to give out at Halloween. After all the treats were given out, I had a few left over and loved them. Of course, they were no longer available in the store. So, thank you Amazon. You almost always have just what I am looking for. They taste terrific and are fresh and yummy. They are a delightful "non-chocolate" version of a classic.

These were part of an early Valentine's Day present for a friend who loves ONLY the vanilla flavored ones.Until I saw them on Amazon, I didn't know you could buy just one specific flavor in a bag!!They came in a great looking little gift box, and she was so surprised and thrilled when she openedthem. She screamed "OMG, VANILLA!!" lolPerfect gift.

We love the little blue vanilla tootsie midges, however we weren’t expecting to get such a small amount for the price, compared to other candies we bought at the same time, definitely would have been more cost effective to purchase these at the candy store in the mall. Great candies - this particular Amazon offering is a BAD VALUE - way overpriced , up charging $10-12 for a black box.
