Pastry Ideale Gold Dust

This stuff is amazing and stunning on my cakes! It sticks to almost anything dry brushing without alcohol even. I used it on this cake for my modeling chocolate angel sculpture I made for the topper. The sheen is unparalleled. The drawback is that it's inedible (non-toxic) but you just tell your customers those pieces are for decoration only. The size of the bottle didn't bother me because it's sold by volume and it's in there. No cheating going on there. Also, the color is in between yellow gold and rose gold (it's bronze powder) and that is difficult to color match with other gold elements but this superior shine is worth it all! I do love it.

I almost don't want to be honest in my review, because I want all of this stuff for myself!! But I feel like it deserves the credit, so I guess I'll hold off on my selfishness. I've tried several different gold dust products to make gold sequin cakes, and nothing looked like a real sparkly gold... Until I found this. It is PERFECT if you're looking for a real gold shine on your pastry creations! Absolutely gorgeous. And don't let the other reviews about the bottle being half full discourage you... Yes, the bottle is half full, but it contains the correct amount of product, as advertised. You should try this stuff... Or not, and save it all for me!

I actually liked this true gold powder, its really easy to mix and a little goes a long way, truly gold finish, the dust is super fine so be extra careful when you open the bottle, it flies everywhere if you move it while open, not too much content in the container but you really just need a little bit at time.

Many undeserving 1 stars. Many complaints about not edible (as described) and half bottle being gone. While the bottle is palm sized big, it clearly states that you are buying 2 ounces. This stuff is GREAT. I own the silver, gold and bronze. Mixed with a bit of alcohol it’s a great even spread. When I use the silver, actually looks like mercury. While it is not edible it is non toxic. Which means, while you cannot eat it, it is safe to use as decoration on the cake

The dust is potent!!! Such a brilliant luster and the weight was exact, the jar may seem too big or half full but the weight was accurate when I placed it on a scale. Great product

Great coverage and dries quickly. The color is great! However for some reason they put it in a very large container. It’s the proper weight but I felt like I was ripped off so prepare for a less than half filled container. The gold powder sticks to the sides of the container so it looks like a full bottle. I plan to just add my liquid in the bottle when it’s close to being empty.

Lo utilizo para dar brillo a decoraciones de fondant o de pasta de goma. El color es realmente como el oro. Nada que ver con el lustre descolorido y semitransparente. Puede utilizarse seco, y esparcirlo con una brocha sobre decoraciones secas o mojado con vodka, extracto de limón o cualquier licor transparente con alto contenido de alcohol. Por ejemplo : Una corona de pasta o fondant, se verá hermosamente dorada, pintada con el brillo mojado. No es comestible, pero no es tóxico. Utilizar de preferencia en muy pequeñas cantidades sobre un postre, o en decoraciones que no se van a comer.

OK the color of this is gorgeous and it can be diluted with alcohol as a gold paint which is so much cheaper and better than the spray paint that I previously used. Only downside is that it is not edible.
