Good quality pump and reservoir
High quality materials. The white color outer casing is actually white, not cream or beige. The clear reservoir is thick and sparkly clear. The extra holes allow for flexible placement of the pump, which is very important when planning to watercool your PC. You can't rely on dimensions and measurements alone. The pump is super quiet even at 100% max speed. I cannot hear it at all over the typical PC noise from hard drive and PC case fans. It does not vibrate upon touching it.The only potential issue is the overly complicated wiring consisting of molex power, RGB lighting and temperature sensor cables. You have to handle them delicately and route them smartly to avoid cluttering up your PC case.

powerful
It is a powerful pump, the speed can be adjusted by the motherboard. it is quite and makes X3950 under 50C.

Not worth money
The media could not be loaded. Ok were to start..... value unless you have full corsair set up Leave it alone it very costly for an item that needs a further £65 plus to use its settings and rgb lighting. Item needed is corsair pro not cheap or easy to get. Noise ok apon first set up it was bad very bad like a tractor engine running but I stuck it out and on 3rd day it went silent it kept temperature at around 35 to 45 c at all times it seemed underpowered compared to previous d5 pump iv used but it is doing the job it built for. Install was not difficult with the multi points to connect to made it easy but instructions only showed fittings to the corsair pro for power and rgb. The pump speed and rgb can only be used via the corsair pro this is not provided and I feel it very overpriced as this item should be with it. So to sum it up only buy this if you have full corsair set up and the icue software. Update 26/01/21 since purchase I have not been able to get the rgb lights to work even with the corsair Pro and the pump has little power to move the water round the system I am now at point of having to rebuild my water loop again. Best advice look for something else.

Would give 3.5 stars if I could, great performance although has its flaws
Cannot complain about performance as this cools both my CPU and GPU efficiently and temperatures rarely go above 70 degrees when gaming. You are however forced into the Corsair ecosystem and even then my set-up has issues. I paired this with a Corsair Commander Pro and 4 Corsair HD120 case fans. For me there seems to be a bug where one of Corsair HD120 fans loses its RGB when the SD5 is plugged in but regains it when removing the XD5. As you are tied into the Corsair iCue software, you are not able to run software such as Rivatuner/HWInfo as there seems to be a conflict between them. Would give 3.5 stars if I could as there are no issues with performance.

Rattling and vibration.
Its the loudest d5 I've ever heard and as soon as it gets over 2000rpm it sounds like a plane. Also the RGB is useless unless you buy a Corsair Commander Pro.

good combo
had few combo over the years, really like this 1, does a great job on cooling 3800 ryzen.stock idle 35-45 c , full load 80-90+ cnow idle 25-30c , full load, not saw it over 65c in any test.1 thing, if you cannot control pump pwm , dont buy, the noise is loud
