Works like the first one I bought 5 years ago from pain I had on my neck. Chiropractor would always tell me to ice up but I always thought he was full of it until I realized icing does work. I open iPhones all month and I have annoying pain after but this takes it away. Works perfect

Thin!
Great for anything because of the gel but still bad quality. Very thin.

WAY better than frozen edamame!! Great for neck.
I probably should have got one of these ages ago....my poor frozen edamame suffered terribly this year. An annoying series of back aches had me sacrificing frozen vegetables...over and over...erp, poor edamame, no chance to be eaten (they kept defrosting and the bag would split, it's almost like the edamame people didn't expect them to be used as icy pads, huh....)Annnyways I saw this particular icy pad recommended by Sweet Home as their budget option, they claimed it might feel too icy on the skin but I figure that's easy enough to adjust Just layer tshirts or towels or whatever until you have the perfect temperature.Anyways this is a really nice size for low back and because it's so flexible and squishy even when frozen it comforms to the back of neck wonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnderfully. It's 99 F outside right now and despite AC I stuck the icy pad on my neck for a quick kiss of winter.I plan on putting this icy pad to use for more than aches and pains too. You know how bowls of ice cream melt TOO FREAKING FAST in the summer? (First world problem) I am going to set my ice cream bowl on this icy pad for help, I think this will be an ice cream game changer....Also, we already have insulated cooler bags for grocery shopping but in the summer with nasty 115 F temps I am going to pop the icy pad in there when headed to town (to buy more ice cream, durrr) I think this will be great.Anyways I love this, also feels great on the face (towel protection between skin and icy pad of course)I have only had this a short while, will update my review with a longevity review in the fuuuuuture.

Great product for back pain.
I bought this as a back-up to the one I already own. This one is made with thinner plastic than my older one. Therefore the 4 star rating. This one feels as though it would puncture or break more easily. So I will take appropriate precautions. Whereas with the older one, I have no fears of mashing it too hard or accidentally breaking/popping it open. Good price and fine I'm sure. I just prefer the thicker plastic case of the older model.I love this particular size as I suffer with lower back pain. This size enables me to slip it easily down the back of my pants between the cloth of my shirt and waistline of my pants. This keeps the cold plastic from making direct contact with my skin. It also allows me to drive, sit at my desk or in my recliner while applying ice to slow or eliminate swelling which if left unchecked almost always leads to worse and longer lasting pain. This type gel/ice pack allows me to head off back pain that used to get me down for several days. Now at the first twinge or sign of pain, I slip the ice pack in my waistband and leave it until it has completely thawed. This has saved me the suffering of a week long ordeal more times than I can count or cut the healing time in half, sometime less! Great product as long as the thinner case holds out.

Ouch!
These cold packs are great. We have six in the freezer at all times. What I like about them is they contour to the injured area. They don’t last as long as I would like, but the time is certainly long enough. You’ll like them.

The Ice pack (6 x 10 size) is a good option to protect the brain from the high fever.
I have different sets of cold packs, with different sizes, for different uses.If you want to lay over the pack, then you buy a heavy duty ACE Large Reusable Cold Compress SOFT TOUCH FABRIC 3M from Wlamart.I bought 2, Ice Pack (6x10 Size) to control the fever. I have two more Jack Frost Cat. 80104 from ebay, and one more Walgreens Cold Pack. The Ice pack (6 x 10 size) is perfect for cold compress on the forehead and under the neck if the body temperature reaches 38.5 – 39 C degree or 101.3 – 102 F. This is used wrapped with a small towel, and you must check frequently the temperature on the pack area and don’t let the forehead or neck to be cold. The fever control is a combination of cold pack and an antipyretic. We normally use Advil - Ibuprofen (500mg) tablets for adults. It takes 1.5 hours to start working and last 4 hours. Be very careful about maximal dose , so save more tablets for the night, and do not use if the body temperature is below 101F.The Ice pack (6 x 10 size) is a good option to protect the brain from the high fever.
