The second french cask finish from Jeffersons Bourbon.  This time the whiskey has been finished in premier cru Sauternes wine casks from Ch Suidaruat (one of only 12 chateaux to be classified this highly) Bordeaux in France.  Orange, peach and lychee jump out of the glass aroma wise.  underpinning this are traces of charr smoke, butter and corn.  The palate shows a lovely rich and syrupy texture with more orange peel, apricot and honey.  The finish balances out nicely with slightly drier notes of rye, spice, salt and cereal.
