Does the job well, make sure you block it's Internet access.
I love everything about these units; extremely good value for money, great picture quality and frame rate, the big infrared LEDs give you excellent night vision, and the cord going through the mounting bracket keeps everything nice and clean when installed. These were also light enough to be installed to a soffit that didn't have wood backing. Additionally, I ordered four in my first order, and one arrived dead. I contacted the company and they got a replacement sent to me in a few short days, so not as good as not being DOA but I always make it a point to shop with companies that stand behind their products. As with most of these things, make sure you block internet access so they don't phone home. There were instructions to setup firewall rules elsewhere in the reviews for these, but since I'm using a DIY DVR, I just blocked all their Internet entirely, 24/7.I'm using these with a BlueIris DVR and they were easy to configure and work great. Will likely be buying a couple more.Addendum: Having played with the software more, if you are using a DIY DVR like myself, I highly recommend using the RTSP mode instead of the HTTP. It results in a much more stable framerate and clearer motion. Every other setting in Blue Iris was left the same, the only changes are switching from http:// to rstp:// and adding /stream0 to the end of the URL.

What you should know about this camera
1) This is a good security camera for the money. Especially in full sunlight and the night time pictures are pretty good too. I’m using this camera to watch over our sheep.2) The item description says it can use up to a 128 GB SD memory card but when you open the box there is a printed card (see attached photo of the card) that indicates the camera supports a 64 GB SD card. A little confusing and in my case it did accept the 128 GB card.3) The camera comes without any onboard memory so if you want to save video from this camera you either need to attach it to a video recording device OR insert a micro SD card into the camera electronics. Unlike other security cameras, this one requires disassembly of the camera in order to access the place where the SD memory card lives. (See attached photo of the card explaining the disassembly process). Taking apart your new purchase before first use is unnerving. Other cameras have an external door on the housing that can be removed but this one does not. It may be more secure but really is a pain.4) Read the printed quick start guide that comes with the camera. I didn’t and when the camera recording times were all goofed up it took me three days to figure out you must manually select and set the time zone the camera is in. There is a menu button that says “ Synchronize phone time to device “ which I interpreted to mean sync times from phone to this device. Well, that’s apparently not it because until you manually set the time zone your recordings will have very weird time stamps. I’m using the free app provided called CamHipro to view the output from this camera and to program it. This software has been good and easy to manipulate.Overall I like this camera for its intended use. There are a few quirks that might just be me because I’m not a professional security camera installer. But if I can do it, you can too.

Beware false information in product description
Bought for a particular application where I needed higher than 20 fps, but no matter what combination of settings I tried, the camera would not go higher that 15 fps in any of the streams although it says it is capable of 25 fps. Since they cannot do higher than 15 fps they are horrible at motion tracking and really bad in general at rendering objects in motion. Also no customer support to be found anywhere.

Great Onvif Conformant, Support Blue Iris camera. Inexpensive and peforms well.
This cam is GREAT. Fast and easy to use and the picture is also excellent. The ir says it covers 100ft and I agree. I ordered several of them. The only bad thing I have to report is I got 2 bad ones. But amazon replaced them with no problem. If you are having problems hooking up to NVR or DVR or software like Blueiris. Consider buying 2 at a time and move on to the next one if the first doesn't work. That way no head bangging nessary. I have 3 in use and when I used Blueiris to search for the camera it came up right away.

Needs One Way Audio to be great
works great and for the price I don't think it can be beat. Super easy to setup and works on the 802.3af POE standard and compatible with blue iris. The danale app is a little sketch, it regularly does not work and wont load the video feed until you delete the app and redownload it with a fresh login. This camera just needs to have one way audio to be a really great value. I have 4 of these in places where sound is not that important but would be nice.

Good price for basic camera
One of the cheaper security cameras on amazon, but keep in mind that it does not do two-way audio. In fact, it doesn't do audio at all. I suspect that this camera is intended for large warehouses that have a dozen or more of these and sound is not really an issue. It does take about twice as long to initialize as my other cameras, but once it's up and running it's fine. If you just need a cheap camera that does the trick, this is a good choice.

Failed in a month
I have ten of these cameras performing my surveillance on my ranch. All of these cameras have been running without issue for three years now. This most recent purchase stopped working within the first month just outside the Amazon return window. I've been corresponding with the SV3C customer service for a warranty replacement. I have another week before it arrives. I would still buy this camera again should the need arise.
