For those that use this for baby formula, what recipie do you use? I noticed that this is a lot less nutritionaly dense than the Meyenberg brand.

I would not use it as baby formula. It is goat milk which is very different from baby formula. I would be afraid that it doesn’t have all the necessary nutrients a baby needs. I’m sure goat milk is very nutritious but it may not have all the vitamins, minerals that baby formula has.

How much milk does the 2lb container make?

The label reads 1.5 cups powder plus 1.25 quarts of water makes 1/3 gallon goat milk. So how many cups in a pound of dry powder. The web says: Not all dry ingredients are created equal. One pound of all-purpose flour would yield 3.5 cups. One pound of unsifted confectioners sugar would yield 3 3/4 cups, and one pound of granulated sugar would yield 2 cups. You can do the math.

Can this be used to make kefir?

You should be able to use our Goat Milk Powder (once reconstituted) in a kefir. Thank you!

This 1 lb container is designed to make approximately 1 gallon. This would equal 1 tablespoon per 2 ounces. 4 tablespoons per 8 oz equaling 8 grams of protein and 10 grams of fat per 8 oz serving. There will be approximately 16 - 8oz servings for this container.
