I actually bought this product for a hike up Ben Nevis. Very pleased with it. The hat itself had good ventilation so I didn't feel it was trapping body heat. It also had a wide brim to keep the sun off effectively. I particularly liked the neck flap as it totally protected my neck for a whole day's walk without the need for any sunblock to be applied. The hat is very light so you hardly notice you are wearing it. The neck strap is useful for keeping the hat on in windy conditions. It appears well-made and I would definitely recommend it.

Working outside in the recent blazing sun necessitated protective headwear to prevent scalp sunburn. This hat fitted the bill perfectly, keeping the sun at bay, not only on my head but off the back of my neck also due to the attached flap at the back.The flap can be rolled up and stored out of sight when not required but cant be detached, which I consider a bonus as it can't be lost!It is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and ventilated, additionally is showerproof.Im going to purchase another to take on holiday with me as it will be very handy I'm sure.Good quality and good value. I recommend this hat.

Keeps you cool and sun off of kneck

I bought this more for the neck protection than the face as always gets burned even with block factor 50+ applied and this hat was perfection with the flap hiding my neck from the sun

This hat is a must for anyone who’s out and about in the sun. This hat is lightweight, covers your neck which is a must in the sun. Wouldn’t be without it. Awesome product

Having been recently been diagnosed with skin cancer (just stage 1 melanoma) I am now paranoid about sun getting to me. Bought this to keep sun off back of my neck and my face. Not tested it yet as not been on holiday but hopefully it will do the job along with the Rash vests and factor 50 sun lotion! It's reasonably well made but quite large for a woman with a small head (54cm). Although the draw string is a good idea, when you use it, it gathers up the fabric that is attached to the brim and makes the brim it go wavy.
