Soap Expressions by Candlewic. Shea Butter Glycerine Soap Base- 2lb

I wanted to make some of my own charcoal/tea tree oil soap. The recipe I had called for shea butter soap base so I bought this. I'm quite happy with it and eager to try a few more things with the half I haven't used yet.This is super easy to cut; I just used a kitchen knife. There are little squares scored into the top (about 1 inch per side) so it is easy to cut exactly the amount you want. You would want to melt this in a double boiler (I just used a metal mixing bowl over a small saucepan). And it works best if you use silicone utensils for stirring, etc. It takes quite a bit of stirring to get something solid, like charcoal powder, mixed in, but it will work. Liquid add-ins (like the tea tree oil I used) are a little quicker to mix in.This is super easy to pour into a mold and there's little mess. It's also relatively easy to clean up -- just soak say, your utensils and the top part of your double boiler in hot water for awhile and you can pretty much scrape the residue right off.It also makes nice soap with a smooth and even texture, even if you don't really know what you're doing! It lathers reasonably well and washes off cleanly.

Simple and didn’t need to add essential oil I thought it smelled nice on its own

It’s amazing I love it. It’s very soft, the smell is good is normal and it melt very fast and you can take you time a little bit an mix the color and the essential and then put it on the mold. Thank you. Now I’m going to try the clear one ❤️

Super easy to melt, blended well with my essential oils and the dried lavender buds and it hardened beautifully. I would definitely buy this product again.

I use this soap base and its super easy to melt, put scents into, or put stuff in! For anyone thats looking to make customized soap this is a wonderful product!

I am very new to soap making. This made it very very very very easy the blocks are make so there is no waste and I added some coconut oils and a coloring. I made the a little swirl design in the soap and it was so easy to melt and when I pour in the mold did not take long to dry (depends on the size of the mold. I use it. Did not have a lot of bubbles. The shea butter and coconut made my skin so soft.

Love this soap base. Everyone who gets soap from me say that it helps their dry skin. If you make a bunch of soap at once your skin feels waxy but it doesn't last long. (I make 4+ pounds in a day) I have bought a lot of this soap sense I started making it. Great product no complaints at all!! :)

The soap is easy to use, smells neutral, nice creamy white color... but it dries out my skin! Like crazy! I added almond oil, honey, and oats to make a simple, soothing soap. The Shae soap base didn't perform as expected.
