This is a great little tool
This is a great little tool. It lets me accurately extend a mark over the edge of a board so that I can precisely cut it off on my table saw by simply positioning it against the teeth of the blade. It stays out on my bench all the time. I generally "think in inches," but I only use this to extend marks over an edge anyway, so I don't pay much attention to the centimeter marks or the Japanese writing. :)

Making your work easier
Excellent product. Perfect 90° and perfect 45°. High quality finish and precise marking, a real pleasure to use it. Made in Japan!! I had the Chinese similar product and its angles were not perfect, so now it can be found in the bin for metal recycling.

Quality and Convenience
How many times have you tried to connect a line from one side of a board of wood to the next side, only to sort of guess at it or try with a square? This tool eliminates that guess and makes the transition of measurement easy. Didn't think I needed it until I got one per some woodworking channels on Youtube, and whenever I need it, I'm thankful I bought it. It has its limitations due to its size and the 45 degree side, but once you've got a decent transfer, you can reach for your square to finish the line if it needs to be longer than a few inches.

Decent saddle square.
The distance markings seem to be accurate and the edges are straight. The problem with this square is that the faces do not meet at a 90 degree angle. The square is not square.

This tool is a must if you carry a square with you when ever your in your shop.
When I am in my shop this is in my pocket, I don't know how I managed without it . It fits in your hand perfectly and it is spot on when it comes to making your 90 and 45 degree marks. It looks cool and when you are handling it, you can see and feel the quality that went into making it.
