MaratacStainless Peanut Lighter Lighters

Properly described in the advert, but I didn't think it through. This is very small (and I have big hands).

Very impressed with build and quality. The O-ring does not "squeeze &pinch" when tightened like cheap models. It is a seated O-ring by the cap, Seals tightly, wheel and striker pins are built rugged and very well made. Interior Tube fits tightly and does not fall out when turned upside down...its a compression fit. Came with 2 O-rings and 3 flints all in good shape and strike well. Don't have to but I added a touch more cotton in the tube, excellent as is. You know how you get tired of spending your money and getting junk....Well this is worth every penny. JUST BUY IT !!!!

After being in a cold situation where butane lighter wouln't work I went on a search for fluid lighters that won't let its fuel evaporate in a few days like my old zippo. Found this and ordered one. I was surprised how solid it is -it won't get bent or damaged easily. And it has worked fine for me in my limited inside use. I haven't challenged it in near 0 F conditions. I like that its rounded and shouldn't wear holes in pockets. I may end up getting several and tucking them into my various outdoor clothes. But they are a bit heavy. And outside is really smooth - wich might be a challenge to stiff cold wet fingers. So I took a file and scorded the outside to improve grip - then smeared some clear shoe goo all over for a more grippy feel. The factory could knurl the outside but I'm sure that would add considerable cost. My one other concern is the tiny spark wheel in cold conditions. But its working so far. I do wish it would come with a split ring in the cap post but I'll find one. But compared to fighting with those easily damaged, "adult proof" butane lighters on a cold day I'm liking this lighter. I'm thinking its a far better lighter for an emergency kit than butane.

This lighter was a great addition to to everyday carry items. It's small, compact, and most importantly, works perfectly. The size is very nice and does not add unnecessarily to my key-chain. Very pleased with this product and plan to purchase as a gift to others in the future.

The lighter I received was not a genuine Maratac peanut lighter. The lighter is marked "martac" as shown in the attached photo. Also, it did not include the split ring, extra flint and o ring promised in the item description and product photos. It seems functional, and is not worth returning, as I found an acceptable split ring to use, but I cannot recommend purchasing from this seller. Countycomm.com sells the genuine article.
