Tastey curry with a little bit of heat. I'm very inexperienced with Japanese style curry, but this was a great introduction. I will certainly buy some again, though hopefully from a local market for a lower cost.

I made the recipe on the back of the box which is excellent, easy and ready in less than an hour. I served it to friends who also loved it. I’ll buy it again for sure.

Vermont Curry used to be my favorite variety of curry roux, but I think Java's taken that spot. Not to say Vermont isn't delicious, because it is! But Java is much more flavorful.It's not super spicy. Medium-hot is spicy enough to be felt, but it's nowhere near hot. If you like a touch of spice in your curry, it's fine.If you want a really nice, robust curry roux that tastes great with minimal add-ins, give this a taste. Though, I suggest you try to find it in your local Asian stores. It's quite a bit overpriced online.
