simple and to the point, work as expected

just what you need to use R22 tanks
I had a set of hoses and gauges from the 90's when r-12 and r-22 were the norm.. somewhere along the way i can not find them so i had to get a "new" set. now everything is R-407 or r-134a and the yellow hose that came with the new set is the tank end for the new tanks which is larger than the r22 tanks.. so I had to get this adapter set which has a seal in the tank end and works like a charm..they seem to be good quality products so far.. there is another adapter that seem to be from the large tank outlet to the smaller hose size if needed.

Adapters work great
I needed to adapt a refrigerant charging hose coupling from R134a to R22. These two adapters screwed together and did the job perfectly. Some assembly required: each adapter comes with a Schrader valve stem that needs to be screwed in. Note that both adapters are required to go from R134a to R22.

Helpful adapters for auto AC work.
The ACME and 1/4" SAE threads were pretty good; they required some wire brush work to remove burrs. However, the internal machining/threading for the valve guts was not great. The guts ended up too deep into the bore (deeper than ARI Std. 720 limits) and several different hose ends were not able to depress the gut pintle to allow proper refrigerant flow. I tried several valve guts from different manufacturers but not luck. I removed the valve guts and use the adapters alone.
