Jarrow Formulas is a name we have grown to know well and trust without exception. I've used a variety of brands and types of coconut oil. This source of coconut oil is a great value for exceptional quality! I've tried the softgels but then I realized "why bother?" I want to ENJOY my coconut oil. We've used coconut oil to make fudge - chocolate and peanut butter fudge in layers is like a Reese's treat but made with quality ingredients I trust. We use coconut oil for cooking and baking, as a skin moisturizer, on hair, there are simply so many uses for coconut oil and it resolves so many needs. It's the best skin moisturizer and get this - you know those cracked dashboards and dry leather couches? Yes, I make paper towel wipes with coconut oil to moisturize leather and vinyl, too. Just be forewarned - our German shepherds love coconut oil too, so I'm leery on when our dogs may mistake the furniture as food! LOLI realize this listing shows coconut oil both as a solid in a jar and as soft gels. While the soft gels are okay for certain circumstances, I really recommend using (and ENJOYING) the regular coconut oil. My husband enjoys when I make him stove top popcorn, I simply use this coconut oil and butter along with popcorn kernels then top off with Himalayan sea salt when finished. So easy, better tasting and far healthier than those microwave bags!Update - we still enjoy making popcorn using coconut oil and sea salt with a bit of butter added to the cooking oil. Now I use our covered wok pan for this purpose with great results - nearly 100% popped each and every time! I still don't see much use for coconut oil as a soft gel - we want to ENJOY our coconut oil!

We paleos love our coconut oil, and this subscribe and save is as good as it gets. I go through a bottle a month, and right as I'm about to run out, a new one arrives at a much better price than I can find at grocery stores.The bottle can be tough to open -- there's a small plastic ring below the lid that you have to peel off before you can open it. It's not the most intuitive, but I like that it's there -- no chance of it opening during shipping.The flavor is great. I eat a lot straight out of the jar but also use it for cooking and it's extremely mild -- doesn't color the flavor of any dishes like olive oil can. And the health benefits are myriad. I use it on my skin if I'm burned, use it for a shot of energy if I'm sluggish, and I've lost weight since eliminating seed oils and upping my good saturated fats.I'm off blood pressure medicines, and my cholesterol profile is the best my doctor's ever seen. This coconut oil is the main source of fat, along with grass-fed everything and avocados. Jarrow makes one of the best ones I've tried, at a great price to boot.

Having tried a lot of coconut oils, this one for the price point for the quality is hard to match. Some you get have a little bit of grittiness to the texture, this one is very smooth. I cook every day and it's become my go-to oil for most recipes. Very light coconut flavor. Excellent carrier oil for essential oils, even w/cannabis (as laws allow in your area) instead of butter. And yes, that can make for a great pleasure lubricant when used in the bedroom.Anti-fungal properties can affect your digestive system if you are just starting to add coconut oil to your diet as a supplement. Seems to affect the natural flora in your digestive tract. No issues afterwards, but it can put some people off. Taking additional probiotics is always good and may help.As a supplement, you will find that it helps smooth/soften your skin. Frickin awesome for your hair, 1tbsp+/- warned slightly then massaged into your hair, throw a bandanna over it all and let it sit for an hour or more.Verdict: Buy it and see for yourself. If you are like me, you'll be quite pleased.

Love this stuff! My sister gave this to my mom and I to try out about 2 years ago. Same quality as the ones I have bought directly in stores, which I was paranoid about due to storage, shelf-life, and expiration dates coming from Amazon warehouse. I keep this in my room, which deviates between 70-75 degrees F. It stays semi-solid and warms up into a nice oil when I rub it between my hands.I use this all over my skin after deeply exfoliating during my shower. I've tried lotions and other misc moisturizers and I always go back to this one because I feel like it actually digs in deep with moisture. In fact, I used up the 16oz jar and was without it for about 2 months and WOW my skin felt so uncomfortably flaky and dry. It has a very light scent of coconut, but once it absorbs, it is completely fragrance free.Other coconut oils I've used smell too strong and feel greasy. This one absorbs nicely so, by the time I wake up, my skin is wonderfully smooth. If I feel like there's too much on my skin by the next day, I'll just wipe some of the excess with a towel (I like to let it soak in first).I took this with me when I did a research project at UCLA. A group of people from my dorm area ended up using this after their showers during my stay there. One of the girls even contacted me weeks later asking what brand it was that I brought with me.I also use it for my hair when it gets too dry. I feel that it's easy to wash off after hours long deep treatment, but of course depends on what shampoo you're using. I haven't used this for cooking, but I do take 1 tbsp a day. I encourage my mom to take this as well since she suffers from fibromyalgia :/. I'm a working engineering student so needless to say the hours I sleep are horrifying (I'm trying!). I've noticed that I don't feel as fatigued if I'm disciplined in taking this everyday.

Love the taste of it but do not follow the instructions of keep it refrigerated via the whole tub as it freeze the whole thing up and I got to scrape it when I need to use it.

This is the 4th Coconut "Oil" Product I have bought (3 from Amazon).Chose this one 'cause the price was less (bigger container, 908grams - 320z - 2Lbs).Seems as good as the more expensive ones to me (in taste and smell [beautiful, gentle coconut scent]).Coconut oil (it is never "oil" in room temperature, but a "butter": melting point is 75-67degrees F).It is certified Organic - Extra Virgin - Suitable for vegans - 100% unrefined, expeller pressed from the fresh fruit of the Coconut palm fruit (Cocos nucifera) - no additives - product of the Philippines - rich in MCTs (lauric acid & caprylic acid etc).The "jar" is black plastic (some might argue that glass is better?). The lid is sealed, and the jar opening is hermetically sealed with foil (for hygiene and freshness).If you are unsure of the health benefits of Coconut oil, just google it and you'll soon be balancing your blood sugars, halting your dementia, improving your skin and hair and enjoying your herb teas and adding a new taste to many dishes (on your porridge, in your soup, on bread instead of dairy butter etc).It arrived quickly, well packed.
