I've been using it with my mac but have noticed that if I'm on a call for a long time it will go in and out and the other caller can't hear me. I've only had this problem since working from home and having to use my mac. It may be my computer but I don't know.

There is 80 inches of wire but it will be analog audio on the wire because the digital conversion from USB is done at the plug end.The plug is slightly larger than typical USB plugs because it contains the sound-card.

Yes. I can't speak to the mic issue that has been raised, but can verify comfort over hours of use.

This Plantronics works great with Skype, and Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 instantly recognize it when plugged in as the default for communications software.
