What is the shelf life of canned bread

I have eaten B&M canned brown bread that was more than 10 years old, and it was fine.

How does this even work? Can you make a sandwich with this bread?

This bread is steamed in a can rather than being baked. It is denser, sweeter and more crumbly than sandwich bread. You could make a sandwich with it, but we always eat it at holiday meals smeared with butter or cream cheese. I'm not sure how the molasses flavor would go with most sandwich fillings, try some by itself first. Getting it out of the can is easy. Open both ends with a canopener and push it out.

Keep it in my bomb shelter?

If you can keep it in your pantry, I would think you could keep it in your bomb shelter. I have no personal experience with that, though. 😊
