Better than most indie movies on Amazon, but...
The 5-star reviews are clearly crew or family member promotions. This has a good cast for a micro-budget indie movie. Really good actually. That alone makes it worth watching to the end. I was disappointed there wasn't a bigger role for the third Hemsworth brother. The cool stylization was bordering on something really interesting, and it helped to keep me interested. While there's some clunky moments, and the audio is spotty at times, ultimately it's the ten or fifteen minutes that should've been cut for pacing that keeps this movie down. (Four-minutes and thirty seconds for opening credits of an indie movie.... I mean, come on.) There's just no tempo to speak of, plodding along at a flat pace. The plot's supposed to be a slow-burn thriller, which means rises and falls of mounting escalation, building to a final big twist or big bang ending. But ultimately there really wasn't one. The story and the twist they were going for just wasn't developed enough to deliver the payoff. Not an entirely original idea, but it has a few good things going for it.

One of the best Indie films this year
The almost five minute introduction into the movie ( even though awesome song pick!) was a bit too much so I fast forwarded it. ( Sorry! )The actors were excellent! I can feel everyone’s emotions and the acting was on top of it. I actually wanted to jump in there with an inhaler and give it to that poor girl. Josie has asthma and she’s had ones like this, ones that turned into panic attacks, triggered by stress. Also, if I worked in a restaurant like that I’d probably quit. Wait- I did work in a restaurant like that and did quit. The story line was great. It kept me entertained from beginning to end.I actually am one of those people that reads others reviews and this one person was complaining about the quality of film. For an Indie Film, and I’ve seen a few, on a lower budget ( because not everyone has a stack of hundreds ready to burn) it was well made. I didn’t mind some of the “quirks” because it’s like playing records on an old player , listening to a worn out audio tape, it wasn’t really a nuisance. It gave it that extra something special because it showed that they worked with what they had, many hours, and still came up on top.I absolutely love that there is someone local on Amazon! All in all- plot twists, great acting, good story line, familiarity...I liked it.** applauds **Go watch it for yourself !

Thrill Ride
This Rollercoaster of a film had me suprised at every turn. The story keeps you wondering what will happen next.Derek Babb did an amazing job of making you feel his emotions.Lara Jean Sullivan, Bishop Stevens and Tiffani Fest along with the rest of the cast gave a captivating performance. The way the film is shot throws you into the whirlwind that is Payday. With a skilled cast and crew I highly recomend this movie and I definitely will watch this again.

They story is captivating
It seemed to have a rough and drawn out start but it really gave you a sense of who these characters are. Once I got to the meat of the story I couldn't stop watching. I could really connect with some of the characters and they felt more human than just watching actors act. For an indie film I think it's great. Room for some improvement but definitely worth watching.

A Film on a budget, but they make it work very well.
I have a good amount of friends involved with this movie. It's awesome to see a local production find it's way onto Amazon and get out there for the world to see. The characters are interesting, the location is well thought out, and there are a lot of moments with genuine tension and emotion within the film. No film is without its flaws, but payday really rises to the occasion when it comes to a crime thriller on a budget.

Choked my way through to the 27 minute mark...
I am definitely not a movie critic, but I do have eyes and ears. I understand that most Indie films have small budgets, certain things in Any film can not be overlooked. I decided to watch this because of Derek Babb. I watched Brotherly Love last night and as cheesey as it was, Derek gave a sincere and for the most part a solid performance aside from all of the to Queenie and Sissified rolls of others, it was just to much, but I enjoyed his work. Derek who is the villain in this comes on screen clean shaven, then 5 minutes later while in the office with the manager to get money from the safe, instantly he has a 4 day old - 5 o'clock shadow... Director/Producer do your job! Next while he is in the office to steal money from the safe, the dining room is shown where an employee is having an asthma attack and the damn customers are sitting on the floor, crying. Get up and RUN OUT!!! Indie, low budget or not, the film should come off as believable as possible or to some degree if you want to get funding to make another movie, this one Certainly did not.

Tense and suspenseful
Good production on an indie budget. It was tense and suspenseful. Some minor flaws here and there, but no movie is perfect, not even the big studio flicks. Well structured plot, the acting was good and convincing, the production design good and creative. It's definitely worth a watch! Slow burn but worth it!

Good film overall
Good film overall. Sound quality could have been better, but great work for a low-budget feature.
