This is a very enjoyable book to pick and flip through. It is filled with high detailed color photographs of uniforms and equipment from contemporary collections of the DAK. The pages are high gloss heavy stock, and you can tell that a lot of time and effort went into assembling this volume. It covers a wide array of the uniforms and insignia of the Afrikakorps in stunning detail. If this is a subject you are interested in, I highly recommend this book. I have been very happy to add it to my collection of Second World War texts.

Very pleased. Excellent book from Schiffer as expected. This is a photo book of the uniforms, insignia and equipment of the Afrikakorps which is exactly what I wanted. If you want a description of the Korps and its operations, do not buy this book. If you want large size, excellent, detailed photos of the uniforms, headgear, footwear, equipment, and insignia of the Korps, then order this book. A great addition to my library. Very pleased.

This book has a lot of great photos of uniforms and gear. Its an excellent reference source for history buffs, reenactors or miniature model painters. It is a great book!

This book is awesome, there is pretty much every piece of clothing issued to the germans in the african or tropical theater. The photography is of the highest level, and the period ones equally good and informative. The captions are clear and some times funny. Some items in this book are totally new to me, like the cloth washennets. This book is worth every cent, for fans of the D.A.K. is a must have, get it now.

WOW, if you like Afrika Korps you've got to have this. Great pictures for collectors and colors for figure painters!

Dazu gibt originale Schwarz-Weiß-Fotos in hervorragender Qualität.Der englischsprachige Text fasst sich kurz, deshalb auch für Deutsche geeignet.Den englischsprachigen Rezensentenkann ich mich nur anschließen : Wer sich für das Afrikakorps und allgemein für Uniformen interessiert für demjenigen ist dieses Buch ein absoluter Pflichtkauf.
