Fireplace Damper Stop Clamp (California Residential Flue 6 inch - 8 inch diameter)

EASY. this is required in California on all gas fireplaces that don't burn wood. (The wood produces smoke that would let the owner know the flue is closed... but concrete logs, or glass, or whatever that doesn't requires this clamp to the CO that you CANNOT SEE, doesn't kill anyone.) You'll find out if you every buy or sell a home. And, you can't find them anywhere! This is easy to install, cheap, and now I know could save a life. :)

"Does the job", but is very heavy, making my flue fully open all the time. Sometimes i hate building code, but you will need one of these if you buy an old house. If you aren't worried about gas and only need it to pass inspection, just install it yourself and remove it afterwards.

For some reason it seems hard to find these online or in stores, and this model was just what I needed. Installed quickly and easily onto the fireplace damper and does what it is supposed to do, keeping the damper from sealing all the way shut. The set screw grips firmly and doesn't wiggle at all.

Great quality and great price. Unfortunately, I ordered three and lost two trying to put on. I guess my fireplace damper was different than most. and didn't really work with these stop clamps.

The fireplace clamp is beyond doubt the most spectacular example of metal working technology ever seen in this quadrant of the Galaxy.

Should be about a buck - but what are you going to do... No other options out there so demand+ scarcity= rip off

A necessity here in California.. Works as described. A little more difficult to install on our damper as described but got it done.
