The Future of Medicine!
Found this book just in time. I have been interested in starting a vegetable garden for some time now. I choose to start with tomatoes, because they are truly a superfood. I feel this is the future with all the corruption going on in this country with our food system. From pesticides to GMO's (tomatoes being one of the worst), to all sorts of diseases, young and old, it's getting very scary. My grandparents lived well into their 90's and I still feel it was because of the beautiful garden that they grew and ate from. They must of been onto something. Great guide!

Short book, good for beginners.
I was surprised at how small and short this book (or more appropriately, booklet) was. I finished reading it cover to cover in about an hour. It does cover all the bases, and is well researched. It's a good read if you are completely new to tomato growing. I particularly liked the charts on recommended tomato species for different growing areas in the US.

Sorted Out My Tomato Mistakes
I have grown vegetables and fruit for 30 years with a good degree of success. The main exception has always been tomatoes. Mine split and never give good yields. Within reading half of this book the author had shown me what I was doing wrong. I can't wait to see what happens with this year's crop. The book is a simple and yet thorough guide to growing your own tomatoes.

Aimed at total beginners?
A very simple guide to growing tomatoes.I honestly can't say that I learned anything from it, but the author has a nice writing style.

Padded with waffle
Poorly presented and frustrating in its vagueness. The b&w pictures manage to make things less clear, and the text needs a professional edit for style and (especially) structure. The last 30 (of 95) pages would be better utilised on a decent index (unless you want recipes that contain tomatoes, or a page-long history of the tomato plant). In short, there’s little here that can’t be found in greater detail, and more concisely written, on any number of websites.
