This shock works as well as other brand names. Yes package is a little smaller than others but I use 1 pack or 1.5 a week for my 12000 gallon pool and it keeps it nice and clear.For our Florida weather this is pretty good with all the rain in the summer and at a great price. Will buy again.

I bought this because I did not want to be refilling our inflatable pool all the time due to its larger size. So I read the instructions and based on the amount of water on my pool I put some of the product and also use a pump. The water was blurry and after a couple days it was pretty decent for use. It combines four actions for optimal results. I also recommend you get some ph test strips to make sure water is ok for use as we know excess chlorine can be toxic. It does not smell very strong. It comes nicely packaged.

I purchase this regularly for our 15, 000 above ground swimming pool. It's easy to use and keeps our pool clean and clear. I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone else. If using in an above ground pool, do be sure to mix this in a bucket first really well and then, add to the deepest end of your pool. If not mixed well, it could eat through your liner if any sold pieces remain. I've tried other brands but I always wind up going back to this one. It helps that this one is more reasonably priced.

Before opening my pool, and after the winter rain and dirt, I wanted to shock my pool to clean everything out. Other brands were expensive and this was the most inexpensive with great reviews. A lot of people complaint because most competitors use one pound (16 oz) bags and these bags are only 13.4 oz, about 15% lighter. The reality is they work just fine. If people are really concerned about getting 2.6 oz for a lot more dollars than peace of mind is priceless. I have no complaints. I had cloudy water in the deep end, I ran the filter and booster pump, threw in 1 bag of this product, and within a few hours my pool was crystal clear. I really like this and have no complaints and recommend.UPDATE: I have paid $14.99 for 6 bags. Now the price is double that its summer?! Wow. I purchased in April and May of this year for $14.99 each and went to get another round and the price has doubled. Lowes has it for under $20

This is a great product for opening the pool, closing the pool, or giving it a little extra cleaning power when you are going to have a high bather load.One good tip, do not sprinkle it in the wind and if you do make sure it will go away from you and towards the pool.Do not put in the skimmer.
