This is maybe the 4th sports armband I've used, and it is the best one I've ever used. Definitely worth the slightly higher cost for this "premium" armband.Pros:* FaceID on iPhone works through this. (I have iPhone XR--I'm not sure if the brand matters.) Obviously, you will still have to take the band off your arm to use it (at least if you put it on your bicep). But it's one less step to get into the phone if you need to do something during your run.* Touch screen works great through it.* The band is very wide. This makes it more comfortable--it distributes the pressure across a larger area.* The band is stretchy. This makes it more comfortable.* The velcro fits-- I've had some armbands where the part on your arm gets narrower as it is stretched, then when you put the scratchy part of the velcro down on the soft part, it hangs over a little and scratches your arm. This one does not do that.* The hidden key pocket is secured so that the key can't falling out. Another armband I used in the past just had a slot but when I took the armband off the key could fall out if I wasn't careful. This one does not do that.

I'm an avid runner and haven't converted to solely using an activity watch to track my runs. I purchased this armband to fit my new iPhone XR. The armband itself is of very decent quality. I like the extra cushioning on the back side (arm side) of the case. The strap is comfortable and the velcro is NOT the cheap stuff that gets all frayed or starts coming undone after a few separations. The only problems I have with this armband are: First, the sleeve for the phone is snug, which DOES help in one regard, in that the phone's touchscreen is resting very firmly against the armband's touchscreen cover making for pretty reliable touchscreen operation while out running. However, the static resistance of the armband's plastic against the glass of the phone's touchscreen means the phone is now LOCKED into place once it's in the sleeve. You CANNOT remove the phone without either a ruler or a tongue depresser or a popsicle stick.... something to break the static cling of the case against the phone. It's really kind of annoying, so I've resorted to keeping a very thin metal ruler in my car to plunge into the case when I'm done running to extract my phone. The only other minor disappointment is that the material is supposed to be moisture wicking,... but it seems it's more moisture absorbing. You sweat when you run, so it's not a huge deal, but it just seems this band gets a LOT more wet than other bands I've used in the past. Overall, I like the comfort of this band and I'll continue to use it. I just wish I didn't have to MacGyver the phone out of the sleeve after every run.

I'm so glad I got this armband for my iPhone X! Before I got this, I was forcing my iPhone X into a smaller armband that was meant for my old iPhone 6, and obviously that was not going well. This armband fits my iPhone X perfectly, it is secure and doesn't move around. The band is also long enough to actually wrap back around my arm to let the velcro stick securely, unlike my older armband, and it is stretchy enough so you can wrap it tight or loose around your arm depending on what you like. I've gone to work out with it once so far and my sweat did not get through into the phone pocket or do any damage to my phone, so that's definitely good. And the best part about it is that Face ID works perfectly fine as long as you face the phone properly straight at your face. Touch screen is very responsive through the clear plastic screen. A great buy, I would say!

I hardly ever submit product reviews, so the existence of this review should serve to indicate that this armband is special. I have purchased many such products, and have learned there's a lot of crap on offer in this general area of product description (phone armbands to aid exercise). This product from Tribe is surely different, and better. Its superior quality of build (in great part because of the materials used), was immediately apparent when I got it out of the packaging. While the band itself is thinner than I've found to be usual with these phone-attachment rigs, in a very good way, the casing for the phone provides confidence of a solid hold. Perhaps the single greatest standout feature of this product is its Velcro-to-Lycra securing mechanism. It's quite strong, and I expect it will last a long, long time. I'm including a few photos to show differences between this armband and the one it's replacing, in my collection of running gear. The previous band did its job, and was generally "okay." I'll never buy another of its kind, though, so long as Tribe offers this one for sale.

It fits great, doesn't slip, holds my phone well, and dries overnight so it's ready the next day, but there is an inner panel that creates a pouch for items like a key. It was maybe a few months in that this began to separate. First a hole developed in the bottom of it so my key started to fall into the main compartment with my phone. Not a big deal to me, but then it separated away from the side and flapping down. I eventually removed the flap so my phone would more easily slide into it.

My Galaxy S6 fits perfectly into this case. I also can stick my car key in there as well. I have slender arms, so I thought the band was too big when I first tried it on, but actually- it fits my arm just fine with the phone and key in it. It's comfortable, even for my longer runs. I have a bit of a hard time getting into my phone to change a Pandora station while running. You obviously can't use "fingerprint security" to get into the phone, but I can get into my phone and change a song with Pandora. I had to downgrade the security on my phone a bit to be able to actually open Pandora to change the station while running. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, and I've been using this armband 3x/wk for the past 3 weeks with no major complaints.
