We got this for my son who decided he wanted to learn piano. He's had a lot of fun with it, and it seems appropriate for beginners. He now takes lessons and uses this less than he does our real piano. Originally, I got this so he could play with headphones and not keep everyone up or annoyed with his practicing. After taking lessons for a time, he explained why many of the songs he was learning required a piano (or at least a much better keyboard) rather than this keyboard. So there are limitations to learning the piano with this keyboard.But when he just wants to goof around, he certainly has a lot of fun with it, and he's certainly used it.

I bought this keyboard mainly cause I need it for use with a benefit Im organizing containing skits and practicing voice lessons and reating compositions when I don't have access to a regular piano. The price was excellent for the quality. I can't remember if this was used or new but it doesnt matter because I have seen one flaw. It has much more uses available than what I use it for. And I'm excited to explore when I have more time. The sound and instrument voices are remarkably accurate.
