Does the Job
As anyone familiar with the vintage Telecaster-style barrel bridge knows, intonation is a problem because the strings go over the three barrels in pairs, meaning that intonation is always going to be a compromise with each pair of strings. These are an attempt to address that problem by staggering the points of contact on each barrel.Fitting them is pretty straightforward as long as you make sure they are in the correct order or you will struggle to intonate properly. They do come packaged in the order you need to fit them, so don't swap them around and you'll be fine. For reference, the high E saddle should be furthest forward and the low E furthest back.Adjusting string height is easy, the grub screws are a standard size and if you're anything like most guitar players I know, you'll have a set of Allen keys, so the fact these don't come with one shouldn't be a problem. I'd recommend getting a set of feeler gauges and radius gauges to help with getting sting height spot on and the bridge to match the radius of the neck.Setting the intonation is easy enough, you just need a screwdriver and an accurate tuner. For anyone who doesn't have experience with compensated saddles like these, don't expect your intonation to be perfect. There is still a compromise to be made, but these will lessen that compromise and make your intonation more accurate than the standard barrels. It won't be as good as independent saddles, but that's the price of having a vintage look on your Telecaster. The tone difference between these and the original saddles on my Tele is quite subtle because the original ones were plated brass. There is a slightly less bright tone with a touch more warmth, but then as I said before, it's a subtle, though appreciable difference.Pros - Easy to fit and easy to adjustCons - Must make sure they're fitted in the right order. Intonation is still a compromise, but a significantly reduced compromise.Verdict - Recommended if you want to preserve the vintage look but have improved intonation and the warmer tone of brass saddles.

Great quality saddles for improved intonation
I own a squire 50s classic vibe telecaster which does not have intonated saddles and I've always struggled to properly tune it and intonate it.I finally took the plunge on these after a lot of research and they do not disappoint. They were very easy to change and the intonation is now near on perfect.I have not tried more expensive saddles so I have nothing to compare to but I can't imagine they would be much different to these. They look and sound terrific

Intonation
These are great for solving the age old problem of intonation on a three saddle telecaster type guitar. The angled edges on each saddle allow for the correct stagger between each string to get the intonation right, rather than the compromise that you get with the traditional barrel type.I’ve fitted mine to a cheap Harley Benton TE and they work fine.Wilkinson make good products for guitars so buy with confidence.

Missing saddle wrench
Missing saddle wrench that seemed to be replaced by a poor quality Musiclily.com plectrum…

Great Upgrade
I really like these saddles. They retain the traditional look and feel of the original Tele saddles as well as the Brass tone that many value so highly, but are very effective in improving intonation. For my money they do this more effectively, with their stepped design, than many of the alternative angle drilled types.....

SOLID CONSTRUCTION
A SUITABLE SIZE ALLEN/HEX KEY WOULD BE A USEFUL ADDITION FOR FITTING. THE VANSON EQUIVALENT COMES WITH THIS.

Waste of money and unusuable
I stuck brand new strings on my guitar with these saddles installed and I broke 3 of them in just one soundcheck and had to use a different guitar for the concert. The quality is extremely poor and within 30 minutes of putting strings on they broke at the bridge and there is a clear visible dent where the strings makes contact with the saddles. Avoid.

Worked great for me, y.m.m.v
I actually drilled out my 6 saddle bridge that had offset intonation screws that the string would contact hard for these 3 saddles. The job wasnt perfect but i can do better next time. The saddles themselves have a weight thats indicative of brass. They are tall so the adjustment screw threads have a ton to grip on. For string spacing i went off of the pole pieces on my tele then filed a notch and it was near perfection. Wouldve been dead on if i drilled the holes more precisely. Intonation is 95-100 percent. I feel like i hear something off but i keep playing and forget all about it because the guitar feels and plays so much better. The old saddles would vibrate like crazy and actually lower the string height or simply become super offset so only one side of the saddle was touching the bridge. All 3 of these saddles make firm solid contact with the bridge. Side note, i shimmed the neck on this tele with the old saddles on and that remedied some of the problem but they still needed to go. I roughed in my adjustments before putting the strings and would slack the strings completely in between adjustment. When i was 95 percent there i lowered the strings the final bit under tension with zero issues. The guitar stays in tune much better now and the neck finally feels perfect strangely enough(14" radius). Sound wise i dont feel like ive gained or lost anything so take that with a pinch of salt. Im just much happier with the functionality of this guitar now with these saddles.

They work great
I purchased these saddles for a Peavey Tele copy. They fit the bridge well and have made getting proper intonation much easier. I would gladly purchase again for future projects.
