Candy Store (Bella Andre Stand-Alone Novels Book 3)

I really enjoyed reading this book about a candy store with Callie & Derek. Callie owns a candy store in Saratoga Springs NY and she's struggling and if she doesn't come up with a new twist she'll have to close her shop. She only has the best job in the world making candy and she's very good at it, her truffles are to die for. In fact she's at a wedding now and the bride and groom purchased truffles and served them on all the tables, and the guests can't get enough of them. Callie is very happy for the new bride and groom, but her mind is not on celebrating its on her failing business, in fact she's so distraught she walks up to the bar and says I'll take anything strong in the form of alcohol. Now Callie doesn't drink, but theirs an extremely attractive gentleman already at the bar, that she's drooling over and he tells the bartender to give her a shot of tequila. She takes a sip and says are you trying to kill me, that's disgusting! Derek says you have to drink it the right way, so he lowers her jersey dress exposing her gorgeous neck proceeds to drop salt on it, then he sticks the lime wedge flesh out in her mouth, bends down and licks the salt off her neck, picks up the shot and downs it, then moves to her lips and sucks the lime juice out and drops the rind in the glass. Callie is on fire, and she vows to herself to show him how it's done, she walks her finger up his chest to his bow tie, then walks her other finger up his hand, and unhooked the cuff-link and let's it drop to the floor and rolls the cuff back. Places the salt on the palm of his hand, places the lime in his mouth flesh pointing out, licks the salt off his palm, downs the shot and then sucks the juice of the lime in his mouth. Not only is Callie on fire, but so is Derek she's so hot, that he wants more of her. When Callie looks up, she realizes she's in major trouble with the hottie, but she's also embarrassed she's never acted this way before and she's ashamed. Just as the bride and groom call for the best-man, everybody turns around and is witnessing the sucking of the lime and they are mesmerized, Callie looks up and takes off running. Derek is unable to run after her because its time to toast the bride and groom. Read this book, the tequila scene is explosive, and will make you cum a lot. The book will make you laugh, and cry and of course cum a lot. Enjoy reading it!

Now he’s going to get his hands on her a second time and this C tone sure not going to run away. Together they'll work together to rebuild her business while sailing the dating waters unknown. When I decided to reread this book, I knew only two things: I couldn't remember a dang thing about it or what happened in it, and I'd hated it the first time around. For the first half of my reread, I was appalled at Earlier Me. The characters were fun, if a bit stereotypical and cliche, the book was lighthearted, the setup for the rest of the plot was great. And then somewhere around the middle, it all began to subtly fall apart. The style and characters both unraveled just enough to feel like a let-down, and most of the plot potential went unused. It felt rushed to a predictable, unsatisfying ending. I might read this author again... but not this book.

This was just what I needed after having read much darker themed stories over the past couple of weeks.... From body shots at the bar to Derek and Callie finally making it to the bedroom - this wonderful story just captured my heart.... Callie was so sweet and vulnerable....Derek - hot and romantic to the core! I regret this was just a short story - I could have read more and more!!! Sit back, relax and treat yourself to this tasty little morsel : )

This is my fourth book from this author and for a short story, it did not disappoint! Callie is a candy maker and candy store owner. She has always wanted to be that, so when she had the opportunity to open her store on Main street, she didn't hesitate. She has done well, but in the last few years, her expenses were starting to be more than her sales. She needed help or her store would be broke and she would have to close. She hires a candy consulting firm to help her, her life and business depended on it. At a wedding she was catering, she met the most handsome man she'd seen, Derek AKA the best man. Her attraction to Derek was so big that what started as a tease, resulted in a very steamy one night stand. The next day she finds out that Derek is the man that is supposed to help her revive her store. Can they keep their relationship pure business or can you mix business with pleasure and still come out ahead? Story moved quick and kept the reader interested. Steamy romance, perfect ending, wish it were longer! Great little book, worth reading, perfect for Valentine's day!

People love Callie's Candies, the shop that Callie owns and her sweet treats. Problem is that she likes creating more sweets than dealing with business matters and she needs help or she will close. Her accountant has arranged a meeting with the top candy consultant soon. Then she goes to a wedding and meets a man, Derek McNear, who she has one night with. This book was such a turn on. They had drama and attraction from the get go, then she was thrown a loop as he was to be her business contact. I loved the sex scenes, it seemed real. I was totally caught up in this short novel and how being with her made him change is mind about his career choices. Sometimes we get our help from the least likely places. A great read, short, fast and just what I needed before hitting the sack :)

I'm not a big supporter of novellas. I believe that it's very difficult to compress plot, atmosphere and character development successfully in a novella. Not that it hasn't been done though. In any case, this novella was in no way an example of a positive achievement. Firstly, the plot had just one scope: sex. Not that I mind, not at all, as long as the sex scenes are well integrated into the plot. Needless to say that the plot was predictable. Of course, since whatever actions of the main characters led to ..... sex. Secondly, there was no character development at all, no background information on the main characters and no supporting characters. Finally, the romance was based on stereotypes and didn't have any ambience.

I enjoyed this story. There was enough drama and comedy to keep me entertained, and both main characters were likeable. Bonus points for the setting!

This was my first Bella Andre book a long time ago and I just reread it and it's just as cute and sexy as I remember. A quick, sexy read that can be easily read in a spare hour in the afternoon.

This is a really short enjoyable read it's hot and steamy in parts but it's also romantic it leaves you feeling happy I'm glad everything worked out for them in the end a lovely little story.

Love Bella Andre stories especially the "fluff" ones like this. It makes you smile it makes you laugh , you fall in love with the characters easily and enjoy every happy moment and feel every embarrassing one with them as well! Look forward to more from Bella.
