Just what I needed
Great chain, love the X design, and it Shifts quick and quiet. One note for the seller, the ad says the included quick link is re-usable, but the note that came in the box says NOT re-usable, so which is it?

Great chain, great price.
KMC chains are always good quality and almost indestructible if you keep them lubed.

An upgrade I was not expecting!
Really really REALLY pleased with this chain. I am a casual, but daily rider of older 3 series Treks (with the attendant low-mid level SRAM and Shimano gear sets), and I did not expect a chain to make this much of a difference. I was servicing and adjusting the derailleurs on both bikes and while the shifts were spot on technically, they still felt "crunchy". I did a bit of reading, and that led me to order one of these. OK, chain lives matter. World of difference. Quieter, smoother, more authoritative shifts. Immediately ordered another one for bike #2. Five minute install, quick links, pre-lubricated. So quiet!

Don't break the chain. Keep it lubed and clean.
7-17-24 I recently installed the KMC X8 8-Speed Nickel Plate edition X-Series Bicycle Chain. It didn't solve my shifting issue - but I trust their quality, so it allowed me to eliminate a worn chain as a potential cause of my issue. As I have 5 bicycles, I need to buy a Chain Checker tool soon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-21-25 I bought and installed a KMC X8 8-Speed Chain on a 2nd bike. To do that, I first made sure the old one was the right size, by following Park Tool's advice. Putting front and rear derailers in the biggest cogs, and looked at the back to make sure the chain angle wasn't too extreme at the jockey wheels, or too loose and hanging low. I then removed the old chain. - By looking for a removable link - none found, and I've never replaced this one before. So, slowly using a Chain Breaker Tool, (and reversing pin if it got too hard to turn, and straightened the chain), I put the chain in the tool, and removed a pin, to get the chain apart and off. I put on gloves and confirmed the new chain was rated for my bike speed (8X), opened the box, taking it out and laying it down beside the old one, to compare lengths and decide on the right link to cut. I needed a chain a little longer than the original as it wasn't the best length. I cut the new one, and installed it. - I had a wire from a chain breaker, ready to hold the chain ends, while I put the Missing Link in. Then I used chain pliers to fully install the it. That took some time and I had to look at the KMC Installation Instructions to confirm I was trying to squeeze the chain apart to seat the Missing Link. I also looked at the Instructions as I had a question as to how many times a Missing Link can be used. It states a new one should always be used on a new chain. And, that they can be taken apart and assembled together up to 3 times. Once installed, I then shifted through the gears to make sure the derailleurs didn't need adjustment. I kept the old chain (it was still good) and the new links I had removed, in the new chain's box. - It may help me temporarily fix a chain on the side of the road, should it break.

They made it easy
This chain was a breeze to install and I did it without tools. Didn't have to alter it any either. I did take a link out later on when I noticed that the chain looked a little slack.

Awesome
Had to buy for a printer repair. Exactly what I needed. Weight/length etc all perfect. Doesn't seem to have any issue moving or rotating. Great. Way cheaper than replacing the printer!

Get the right size links
Very good chain. But do not buy links that are cheap and will brake jump off sprockets.

Buena calidad
La cadena quedó bien. Los cambios van excelente (la cadena vieja ya no hacia bien los cambios). Se siente de buena calidad y súper fácil de instalar con el quick link. Volveré a comprar para mi otra bicicleta.

Solid product, easy to install with quick link and very smooth shifting. Def. recommended!
First impressions: The chain looks and feels well built. I removed the factory grease, installed it on 1995 Kona Hahanna MTB, put fresh Squirt -dry- oil on it and the chain is performing very well. Very silent ride and very smooth shifting, so far A+. Only used for a week =/- 13kms a day, will update review later for durability.
