You get amazing grip while it still allows for you to do tricks. **Q: How do you put on the grip tape?** A: This product contains a self adhered back in. You might need to warm up the product in cooler months if it is not been acclimated to a warmer room. But essentially you simply peel off the back into the product client to whatever it is you're applying it to, and work bubbles out. **Q: Is mob grip tape way better? Or is this okay?** A: This stuff is super rough and strong. As far as I know, mob grip might be a little smoother. But it really depends on what you're looking for. The tougher grip tape is the harder it might be on your shoes but that also means less slipping around, if you're looking to go fast you don't want to fly off when you go into a turn. But if you're just cruising around or dancing you may want to look for something smoother. Its rolled up in a litlle box so when I got it i just flattened it out and put a couple books on it overnight to keep it from curling back into a roll which worked perfectly fine.
