My daughter’s favorite
My 1 year old daughter absolutely loves this song and will walk around saying row row to us all day long hoping to get us to play along. Her favorite part is getting to scream at the crocodile

great fun to read aloud
This book is so simple, yet so perfectly done. It has been a favorite of both my son and my niece from about 12 months on (he's now 19 months and still loves this book). It's almost impossible to "read" this book without breaking into jovial song -- "Rock, Rock, Rock your boat, Gently down the stream, If you see a crocodile, Don't forget to scream!" (there's one more verse but I won't give it away) The book is larger than most of our other board books and has wonderful illustrations of happy babies acting out the lyrics.I have found that my son pays attention and enjoys having books read to him most when the books are rhymes or songs (otherwise he prefers pointing out things he knows by name in the illustrations, but doesn't care so much to hear the story). This book has been a real winner in our house. I highly recommend it as a first birthday gift to any baby whose parents like to sing to him/her.

Cute simple book
Illustrations are beautiful. Honestly. I was worried my LO would be bored but she loves this book, I’d recommend for 12-24mo

Two Babies Enjoy This One, and Are Inspired to Play!
Annie Kubler's ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT is a great little book. We have had this book for about a month at my house, and my 10-1/2 month old baby and a good friend who is about 22 months old both enjoy this book a lot.My son took to ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT immediately. It is a bigger than average board book, about 8 inches by 8 inches, but not too big for him to pull the book into his lap and comfortably page through. The colors are bright, and the babies that Annie Kubler draws are charming. The words are pretty simple. It consists of three verses of the old song.I love that ROW, ROW, ROW YOUR BOAT shows children singing the song and moving to it. The first time I read this to our 22 month old friend, he was immediately pulled in when I started using the movements that you see in the pictures. He liked it so much that he asked me to read it again (well, sing it again) about ten times. My 10 month old son loves it so much that is is the first book he asks for by name. "Rowrowrow!"This book has inspired several boat-related games with our two babies. We are loving it!

My Toddler's Favorite!
I bought this book for my son when he was about 12 months old. It immediately became his favorite book...he loved for me to read/sing it to him before bedtime. He's now 20 months old and still has me singing it to him almost everyday. He loves to flip the pages with me and study the drawings of the babies. The art work is absolutely wonderful. He usually only goes for books with real life pictures, but this one is an exception. When I first picked up this book I thought, "Doesn't this song only have 2 verses...it might get old real quick." But I was pleasantly surprised to see there was much more to it...we love sharing the new verses to this old favorite with other kids...they love it too!

Disappointed in illustrations
I was disappointed that the illustrations were simply of babies playing that had nothing to do with the sing. There was not a single picture of a boat!

Another beloved book in our house
So my toddler will pull this one off her shelf, run to me so I can sing it, and go to her daddy to do the motions. The funny thing is, we can do this hundreds of times in a day....and neither my husband nor I are irritated by it. I guess it's the smile on her face when she plays with us during this song, and her engagement with the large illustrations. Another winner!

Recommend only for the youngest infants
I bought this book and "Ten Little Fingers" also by this author, and I am sorry I bought both of them. Unfortunately, I bought them as part of the "buy 3, get the 4th free" promotion - I bought 6 and these were my two free books. If not for that (and the return shipping costs) I would be returning them.I have an 18 month old son and a 12 month old nephew, and neither of them are interested in these books at all. They are way too simplistic and boring. This book basically has 3 verses of the song, which are cute enough and illustrated okay, but not enough to make a book out of. You are done reading/singing it in less than 30 seconds. In my opinion, this book might be good for about a 3-6 month old when they are mostly looking at pictures and listening to the rhythm of your voice. My son has been listening to books since birth and is way beyond such a short, simplistic book. Over Christmas we had a board book with both verses of Frosty the Snowman, and he would ask me to sing that to him over and over. That book had about 20 full-size pages and this one has only 8, with 4-5 words per page. It is bigger than a lot of postcard-sized board books, though.I agree with the person who said they bought these books based on the recommendations from other Amazon users, and feels misled. I especially relied on the grandparent of the 20-month old, and after seeing the book I totally disagree with them. I'm disappointed and wish it was worthwhile to seek a refund. Oh, well.

Adorable!
Incredibly simple, incredibly adorable and incredibly affective little board book for toddlers. This jolly book illustrates the song beautifully. My little grandson could not get enough of this book - lovely!I see some poor reviews for this as a kindle book and even though I am a kindle convert through and through I can understand why. I have read the board book many times with a toddler on my lap. He likes to turn the pages and give the book an occasional excited shake! Just not the same on Kindle for this type of reading experience or age group.

What's not to like?
How can a book with so few pages and only a couple of dozen words deserve 5 stars? Well, the youngest member of our tribe just loves it. He turns the pages, sways backwards and forwards and enjoys listening to the song.It also includes the verses about the crocodile and the lion - new to me. My own children don't remember these so perhaps they are a recent addition?Anyway, the pictures are simple and gorgeous and this board book is (so far!) proving to be very robust.

Bright and happy illustrations
I think I expected the book to have pictures of boats being merrily rowed down streams and rivers, however the illustrations are of babies doing the rhyme actions. My baby's face lit up when she saw the bright illustrations of smiling babies so who am I to judge? We sing the rhyme slightly differently to the book but it's still a great visual prop.

Perfect
My 18 month old great grand-daughter was really excited to see this book. She kept shouting 'Row row row' so it's a big hit. I made sure that this version was what she did at playgroup and it is. Great.
