This traditional Japanese robe is a complete game changer in my life. Since I started wearing it I haven’t been able to control its effects. For instance the samurai powered harnessed within the threads made me 6x more agile than I am without it. This comes on top of the fact that it looks perfect with every outfit. The only downfall is that you have to take it off to poop. Overall great product!

Just kidding. I haven't touched a woman in years.All in all, it's a good robe. No, it's not super thick, quality material. But it works. And let's be honest, I bought this to be comfortable and to look ridiculous. And I do. And when people see me wear it, they laugh. That was the point. I almost returned this robe when I bought it, but ended up keeping it because it did grow on me.

Ok for the price this thing looks exactly like what I was wanting. I'm pretty sure I want to glue it on my body so it never has to come off.It took me awhile to order it though because of everyone going back and forth on how to get a size that fits. Now that I am a proud expert kimono owner allow me to be your liaison through this troubling time.I weigh 180 pounds and 6'1, men tend to think they're taller than they actually are because when I say this guys freak out and say I must be 6'4 because they think they're 6' no you're all just short it's ok. I have slender hips but a very mild pudge on me, pretty much unnoticeable in a shirt. My waist is a 32 in skinny jeans and medium shirts fit me formingly as they should. I ordered the XXL, which would be a large in America. It comes down an inch past my knees, which is perfect. The shoulder seams line up right at the edge of my shoulder as they should. The sleeves are faintly to short, stopping towards the top of my wrist, but not really to noticable enough to care about.Most importantly the freaking strap isn't to short or high! I read so many reviews that said great besides the tiny strap. You have to understand that the rest of the world isn't a bunch of fatty patties like Americans are, you're just fat. I can easily wrap this thing around my waist, the only issue is it's so damn silky sexy that it comes untied easy once you start to karate stuff. As for the strap being high up, yeah it sorta is compared to robes you're use to but this is meant to be traditional Japanese garb, that's just wear it's meant to sit.So my recommendation is if you're lean and under 5'11 order one size up or it maybe baggy. If you're average or even have a beer gut order two sizes up. Over 6'1 and not a fatty mc fat fat I be worried about a 3x because though the sleeves will sit better it maybe baggy around the torso.

I'm impressed with the fabric, especially for the price. The xxl leg coverage and arm length is comfortable for long arm tall people. I'm 6'4" slim, this in xxl fits 100% for me

The good: Material is soft and silky, doesn't smell bad even after extended or sweaty use. Looks good and sophisticated. Stitching hemming etc is as I expected at this price point. Receives compliment.The bad: Pretty bad about getting static whenever the weather is a bit dry, and I live in Alabama. Doesn't breath at all. The waist belt sits too high, right below my sternum, so eating while wearing the robe is not comfortable.The ugly: You must be thinking why I don't just loosen up the belt while eating? Because unlike any other double breasted garment, it does not have a fastener or button for keeping the inner breast in place. and it's slick, so it constantly slips and gets undone. That makes it impossible (and vulgar) to wear it without a shirt and pants. Doesn't matter how much I tighten up the waist belt, it will get undone by the time I walk to the kitchen from bedroom and expose the middle. The same reason the pockets are useless as well.I bought it to try out a cheap robe for a couple of years before investing into an expensive one. I am loving the robe experience in winter, but probably not going to be able to use this in summer or for too long either. I wish they spent one or two more cents to add another fastener inside. I cannot recommend this robe.

This thing really turns heads let me tell you. The day after this bad boy came in the mail I wore it out to the bars with my Thursday boys and was getting eye balled like you would not believe.This thing comes with an added bonus of movie star charisma. My luck had made a turn from “fat chance” to pure fire as I tore up my friends in bar dice. A pair of mega babes asked me to come and join their group and ended up buying me a few drinks and taking pictures with me.Has the perfect sleeze ball look to it when you answer your door after several rounds of knocking late in the afternoon. Love . Love. Love.

This has got to be the thinnest "robe" I have ever seen. The material is not clothing quality at all (and it smells when it's out of the packaging). The best I can think of using this would be in the summer at a pool or beach. Also I compared the "belt" to another robe I have and it's about 12" shorter making it very difficult to keep tied around your waist. I suggest anyone who buys this, really just get it for a gag gift or for taking pictures in. It will not keep you warm after a shower. There's no interior lining at all.

I purchased a size XL for my boyfriend, who normally wears a medium (he is 5'7", 200lbs and stocky). He LOVES this robe and I do too. It goes down to his knees and feels super soft and luxurious. Plenty of room for a guy with big shoulders/arms.The belt is ridiculous--it's placed too high and the belt itself is very short--too short to use. However, if you could find a black sash to replace it, you could make full use of the belt function. :)

Overall the quality is not good. Arms are too short and as previously mentioned in other reviews there is no tie other than the silk rope this means it comes open easily.

Seems well made, fits as expected. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of an inner tie. The garment and existing belt are slippery and unless you cinch it tight it will not stay closed. A robe should not be tight, just secure. A cloth tie fitted to the inside of the garment would solve this problem and not add too much to the cost.

Others have mentioned it - I ordered the 3X (XL in the real world) and love the look and feel but for reasons beyond me they made the belt too short to tie properly. If you’re like me, it’s just easier to sweet talk your wife to buy about 6” of satin type material, sew it in the middle of the belt as anextension and then you’re good to go. Alternatively you could just make a new belt but you’d lose the pattern which is in the belt too. Seems odd to cheap out on a tiny bit of material in the manufacturing process but now you know. There is no hoop in the collar to hang it up by but it does have belt loops and pockets.

Arrived promptly, good quality, BUT, does run a wee bit larger than expected. I would rather it be larger than too small for my husband! We are keeping it.

Bought this product as a gift for my partner, great length for men. Other silky robes I found were much shorter, so the length is great. There were a few rogue threads but other than that the quality is pretty good! One downside is the tie is quite short? The robe itself fits as expected just the tie could definitely be longer.
