Let me clear something up
The description never lists what material this item is made of. I mistakenly thought this looked like aluminum and I had stumbled upon some unknown pedalboard treasure for a great low price. Boy, was I let down. I mean, it's my fault. Like I stated earlier, the description does not mention that this is made of lightweight fiberboard covered in a shiny black paint. It is very light. Now to the reality check. A few large strips of hook and loop adhesive material is included to apply to the board as you see fit. There are countersunk hex nuts attaching the riser board to the bottom board, through three angled wooden risers, using some screws. There are actually some slots on the bottom board running horizontally underneath the risers making it seem as though the middle riser would be adjustable by loosening and sliding the riser left or right to accommodate certain power bricks. This is not the case as the slots do not exist on the top riser board and the middle riser is fixed in place. This means the only recourse was to remove the middle riser entirely to get my JOYO'S NEW AND IMPROVED JP-02 POWER SUPPLY 2 9-18V POWER OPTIONS! under there. The result is a little more flex in the middle of the riser when stomping pedals. The other mistake I made was thinking I could get more than three average sized pedals on the top riser board. Even using right angle patch cables, I can still only get three pedals packed onto the riser. I have seven other pedals on the lower board, including some large ones. Since this is only used to keep pedals organized and portable in my studio, it will suffice. If I had to gig with it, I am not sure I would have kept it. It's not what I had imagined and if durability were a bigger factor I would suggest a Pedaltrain 2 Pedalboard With Soft Case .
