Logitech Type Plus iPad Folio iPad Air (920-006909), iPad Air Type + 1st Generation

This is an excellent keyboard case for the iPad Air, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a keyboard case. Logitech also makes a nearly identical unit for the iPad Air2.The product is very light, so it doesn't add an objectionable amount of weight to the iPad. It has a magnetic area at the top of the keyboard that holds the iPad firmly when it's up in the vertical position, and this magnet connection also turns the keyboard on and connects it to the iPad via bluetooth. When it turns on, the keyboard shows a Green LED, and once the bluetooth connection is established with the iPad, the LED turns Blue for several seconds to let you know that the connection is established.The keys are fairly large for such a compact keyboard, so it is very easy to type quickly and accurately. The keys also have a satisfying feel to them, so your fingers will know when each key has been properly pressed.The keyboard has a row of 'function' keys along the top that provide direct access to control things like Siri, Search, Home Screen, App Selector, Screen Capture, Audio Controls (Play/Pause, Back, Foreward, Volume, Mute), and iPad Lock.Battery life on the case is incredibly long. In fact, I have never run the battery completely down, even after using it regularly for several weeks. The only drawback regarding the battery (or perhaps, the iPad), is that the iPad does not show the battery life available in the keyboard case battery. I don't know if it's a feature missing from the keyboard case, or from the iPad.One nice to have feature would be a backlit keyboard. Alas, the keyboard on this case does not have a backlight.The case protects the back of the iPad from scratches or damage, and the case is slighter wider than the iPad, so it also protects the edges of the iPad while the keyboard case is closed.When the iPad is in the vertical position the weight of the iPad and keyboard case combination is very balanced, so it does not feel like it wants to tip backwards. The iPad can also lay flat over the keyboard, for those times when you don't need or want to use the keyboard with the iPad.Overall, I would highly recommend this keyboard case to anyone looking for a reasonably priced case that is built with quality, durability and functionality.-rb

Had this before, just a replacement, the part that holds the iPad, one of the corners broke. I like this cover/keyboard/holder. Fits my use and convenient for me.

Nice and sturdy, but you can't use the cover as a stand unless you want to use the keyboard. Also, the case won't work without being plugged into a power source. It took me 2 hours trying to contact "Logitech", and finally spoke with someone outside the U.S. Their website lists NO support phone number, and refers people only to a customer forum to ask questions. I happened to get another division of Logitech who gave me the following phone number for product replacement . . . 646-454-3200. Terrible . . . I don't believe I'll purchase another Logitech product again! Too bad, nice idea!

It’s beauitiful to look at, easy to master and highly functional. I originally did not want to get this one because it dicn’t Have lighted keys. However, the fact that it was a best choice product; I went with it. Once you get a good “feel” for the mechanics of the device it it becomes clear that some very clever minds put their heart into it. The only think I’m not crazy about is the feel of the keyboard when typing. I don’t actually type and I never really learned how to. My wife refers to it more as “searches and destroy” action. However, when you go through a masters program using an electric typewriter - this seems like heaven. I’m keeping my eye out for a keyboard like this one but better type touch feel and lighted keys and I will gift this one to someone I like. Great product

Nothing special. I’ve been using this with an iPad for years & it’s quite reliable. Unfortunately I drop it & the keys break off.

Ordered it for an iPad Air. Second try. The first one came in and didn’t work. Talked to Amazon and Logitech support. Concluded the battery was defective because it would not turn on. Asked for a replacement and returned the first one. The replacement got lost in shipping, so I ordered another one. It was delayed with the virus situation but arrived Saturday. Put it in the iPad Air and it was just like the first one. Wouldn’t turn on.Just as an experiment I tried it with my 6th gen iPad and it worked perfectly. So my conclusion is it is a nice folio keyboard , just not for the advertised iPad Air. Doesn’t work with the iPad Air but I am keeping it to use with my newest iPad.

This is my second keyboard for my iPad Air. I had the first one for several years and wouldn't have had to replace except that my 4-year-old grandson spilled yogurt on it. Not good. This is an excellent keyboard. I'm a typist; learned on manual typewriters. This keyboard is smaller than a standard computer keyboard, but it was easy for me to adjust to the smaller size. Nice feel to the keys. I can fly with this. Hope I can still get a similar keyboard if/when I have to upgrade my iPad.

This is the Folio that I had when I purchased my iPad, but in replacing it I thought a far more cost friendly version would provide the same accommodation...WRONG! So, three failed attempts, buying and returning them later, I had to bite the bullet and go for this one. And it is well worth it to me, higher price notwithstanding. This is the real deal. It’s sturdy. The keys don’t stick; they work as expected. The design allows you to work on your lap or pillow or table so it can go where to go. I simply love it. Wish it were less expensive, but it is what it is.

I bought this to replace the exact same item as with one drop on its corner from a table height one of the corner brackets broke such that the ipad was no longer secure. On the plus side, no damage to the actual iPad! It came in really good time, and was exactly what I was expecting -- well priced compared to what I could have bought locally. Happy, happy!

This the second one I had as I dropped the last & broke the edge but saved my iPad.Excellent product , lovely feel to it & key board . Good fit & key board has great battery life.

So far, the case fits and works perfectly. I am actually typing this review using the keyboard that is attached to the case. My typing is considerably more efficient and the spell check is spot on. The case itself is sturdier than my previous two cases as they were generic and cheaply made. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay but because it wa made by Logitech, I decided to buy it knowing that it will last longer than the others.

The same as the one I bought from JL 18 months ago but for £70 less.Works perfectly.
