Tight in a 22 LR
The 1 1/8 square patches are pretty tight, when oiled, with the jag I use, going through a 22 LR pistol. they probably would not go through dry. It did help to trim off the corners a bit and they may then go through dry. They seem to be good patches at a reasonable price.

wondering if this will actually fit your barrel?
i hesitated in buying these after reading some reviews saying that these patches would not fit 223/556 barrels, but ended up giving them a shot. i can confidently say that they will fit in AR barrels with the .22 tipton ultra jag (p/n: 225659) that i also bought on amazon. fit is snug, but not tight to the point of any real forcing. basically perfect. the only downside is that these patches sometimes leave a bit of fabric fuzz in the barrel after cleaning, but that is true for any brand. also, as a side note, i do not have a 22lr barrel to test, so i can't tell you if these patches would be too tight.

Great muzzleloader patches
These are great patches for my 50 caliber muzzleloader…i lube them with mink oil and use them as hunting patches…these are pure cotton and fray very little….they work great

Perfect Size For A Variety of Calibers
For cleaning a rifle barrel, I found using round patches work better then the square ones. Especially when using a bore guide and a Jag as I don't like to pull a patch back, once I push a patch through. And using the right size for whatever caliber you're cleaning is makes all the difference in the world. These 1 1/2" work well with the most popular of calibers.
