Replace while servicing timing chain
Decided to replace my timing chain while doing oil pump.First time having a tensioner on a V8 engine install easily, and I'm glad I replaced it. Engine is running much quieter with the new chain and tensioner

It is definitely a GM OEM product. Better than my Cloyes option!
I had to replace a camshaft in my 2010 Sierra 1500 and had decided to replace the timing chain tensioner since I was in there. This part is definitely manufactured of better quality than the Cloyes unit that I had purchased. If you're replacing your camshaft, spring the few extra bucks and replace the timing chain tensioner. You won't regret it. Plus you'll have confidence that you won't suffer premature failure if you do replace this part.
